Thank you all! You manage to get a lot of work done in these updates. Not just new cards but fixes to AI and bugs too. Really impressive :) =D>

Just a heads up, it seems that this disappearing land bug has returned with this patch. For those unfamiliar, if you use the search box in the deck editor, then clear it, all cards without abilities remain filtered out of the list including all basic lands as well as many vanilla favorites. Restarting the game fixes the issue. A fix was released for this issue awhile back, but I'm not sure if the same fix will work again. I'll try it and get back to you.

EDIT: Indeed, the old fix still works. You just have to replace the DeckDLL.dll and DeckDLL.asm files.

Yes, I can confirm this bug. Gargaroz, most likely you'll have to release a V.2 quite soon! :)

this is great. good patch my friends. I would like to humbly ask for just one thing in the next patches if it is all possible. If you could start taking some of the original cards and recoding them into c? i know we were talking about it and there is the list that has to be done to fully convert the whole game to c but i dont see any reason to not update some of the original cards to c. Also how in the hell did you get chaos orb in the game..i gotta play this just to see what you did. i to am a nostalgic player and love the oldies added in. thanks to all.

Chaos Orb is just based on a random function, as the text describe, 75% to destroy 2 target permanent, 5% to destroy your own and 15% to do nothing.

The recoding is in process, though as Avacyn is coming I bet Gargaroz priority would be to code those new cards (angels are back with vengeance and it hurt, especially pod deck).

I already asked for a recode of old cards to be compatible with Mind Bend type card but for him it would be on low priority since this is not a popular effect, so if you want some old cards to be recoded you will have to create a list of those and a good reason to remake them (highly played in vintage or limited maybe).

Or maybe ask Orion79 to remake them since he made a bunch of oldies for this patch :D

No way: I can't actually code any card, just activate vanilla ones with static abilities!

There are plenty of original cards with static abilities $$

The only trouble in fact is to make them compatible with the new cards in C

Why? Aren't they already compatibile? May you share any example of such cards?
Anyway, now I would be more concerned about using this current patch, since it still buggish: the bug described by Psychodabble and the missing manalink.csv to update decks...

The DeckEditor issue was always around since 3.0, the fix never reached the patchfile dunno why but it's a minor hindrance. The last csv is still at his usual spot in the magic_updater folder, because it work for me and I could update most of my decks with it and PDA.

A classic example is Pithing Needle or anything that affect abilities : it doesn't work on Dragon Engine for example as it's not a C coded card. The issue is that it's a retroactive issue, new card cannot affect old card...

Then I have to guess that I'm having some serious problem, because I can't update any of my decks. Once I complete the process, they still have wrong IDs so I thought it was a problem connected to the missing of the manalink.csv file.

About old cards, I know this. I hate then Doubling Season does not double Fungusaur or Rock Hydra counters! But there is nothing that I can do for those cards, not even Dragon Engine.

That is why you could code simple cards as the original vanilla card like Bird Maiden before moving to less simple like Atog ;)

But first we have to see why your csv is not good, attached is the csv file from my magic_updater folder, please use the PDA to load it and check if your decks are updated or not.
You could also upload your deck so we can see if it is fixable of course :p

Ok, I will try with this one, thanks. Else, I should activate the option "read by name" in the INI file and open and re-save each deck. For 550 decks just in T2... :)

There is no missing csv - the Manalink.csv in the patch 'magic_updater' is the correct one.

The PDA makes a copy of the csv file when you select a Manalink.csv file, and puts it in its 'CSV' folder - it then uses this as its default file.
You need to update the Manalink.csv file in the PDA's 'CSV' folder by selecting the new Manalink.csv file in the 'magic_updater' folder when a new patch is released. The PDA doesn't do it automatically.

Sonic, it is not the first time that I do convert cards but this time I have had some unknown problem with the PDA.
Now I have tried to convert decks from my notebook with the right manalink.csv file and everything is fine. I wonder why, it had troubles with 2 decks: one of them hosted Ring of MàRuf and the PDA didn't know how to convert it. The other one was my Oxes deck, with "bull" creatures. O_o

Not sure about the 'bull' creature cards, but I'd guess 'Ring of Ma'rûf' maybe causing problems because of the û character in the name.
You remember we had problems with this and the Æ, à and ŕ characters on non-English language setups when the original manalink 3.0 patch was first released.

Have you got any decks which have any of the Lim-Dûl named cards to check whether these cards are affected too?
