Sorry this is supposed to be in Bugs.
Sometimes it does not seem to apply the damage when it dies.

I will need a savegame the turn this happens maybe to figure out what happened. Also there mustn't have proceeded in that game a bad parameters alert that screws things up. In your savegame there is no Dreadhorde Butcher anywhere. In dev in 5 tests it worked fine.
