[wait] Special Modes not reseting to default

Postby Fizanko » 09 Feb 2014, 16:54

Using Manalink 2014 : 06/01/2014: Commanding the revision of Ice Age.(V2 out 12/1)

steps to reproduce the problem :

- Start the game, go to Duel select "Gauntlet"
default setting is "Challenge Mode" not enabled.
- click "Run the Gauntlet"

- Game start without problem, right click and select "Concede" then confirm "Yes i'm sure" to get back to the menu.

- Now in the Gauntlet setup this time enable "Challenge Mode" then click "Run the Gauntlet"
after the starting roll, you end into the screen that enable you to select a challenge, no problem
Depending on your deck, you'll either lose immediately (if it's not a legal deck for that challenge) or if the game start, right click , Concede and confirm until you're back to the game menu

- Now disable "Challenge Mode" in the Gauntlet setup then click "Run the Gauntlet"

And then the problem happens : instead of running the gauntlet in regular mode, you're still faced with the choice between the challenges, despite you disabled that game mode.

The only way to play in regular gauntlet mode after disabling the "challenge mode" option is to quit/shutdown Manalink and relaunch it, and only this way you'll be able to play the regular gauntlet

This is a known issue. Same thing happens anytime you play with a different mode (EDH, Archenemy, etc.). You have to restart the program to reset to normal. Just something we have to live with until Korath gets around to fixing it.

I knew about the Challenge Gauntlet problems, but not about EDH or Archenemy. (And archenemy surprises me. You're sure? I can't repro it.)

And I'll get around to fixing it faster if someone beats me to reassigning the reward cards.

I might of got the wrong one. I know about challenge and draft, I assumed the other special card modes were the same (I don't play them) and the word draft was escaping me at the time.

I had no idea it was a known bug, fortunately it's not very important, as said simply quitting the game and relaunching it is enough to work around it.
