Describe the Bug:
1- Desert can be activated at both times there is opportunity for fast effects in combat in Manalink. fixed
2- AI doesn't calculate in attacking & blocking decisions the effect of the untapped Desert = 1 damage to creature at the end of combat.

Which card did behave improperly?
Desert

Which update are you using? (date, name)Which type? (duel, gauntlet, sealed deck)
Manalink 2016/08/27: Eldritch Moon v2, duel

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction?
1- Desert can be activated only during the end of combat step.
If I am not wrong we can't have it activate at that time but at least we can have it activate after blockers have been assigned and not also before blockers.
2- AI calculates in attacking & blocking decisions the 1 damage of the untapped Desert to target creature and ideally if possible that the effect will not damage the creature before the creature assigns it's damage.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug?

Being activateable during all combat, per its original wording, is actually deliberate - we tried showing a dialog at end-of-combat asking whether to activate it (since players don't get priority there in Manalink), and A) if the AI controlled the Desert, it couldn't deal with it at all, and B) if the human controlled it, the dialog was excessively irritating.

Now in current dev Desert works like Korath says above so it is totally crippled for AI.

The problem with AI is that if AI doesn't use Desert in his turn for mana then it will tap the Desert for no reason at all as a response to an action or at the end of AI's turn so will not have it untapped to deal damage on opponent's attacking creatures. If Desert is untapped (only if human untaps the land on his turn that is) then AI will use it appropriately - but still not taking into decisions the damage. e.g you attack with a 2/2 creature and AI has a 1/1 creature to block and an untapped Desert AI will not block.

It is only activate-able at the end of combat is fixed.
