[confirmed]Can't regenerate from Yamabushi's Flame

Postby Korath » 05 Jul 2017, 04:06

Describe the bug:
Yamabushi's Flame prevents my Drudge Skeletons from regenerating from the Flame's damage.

Which card behaved improperly?
Yamabushi's Flame.

Which update are you using? (date, name)Which type? (duel, gauntlet, sealed deck)
Dev 98e0130.

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction?
Don't suppress regeneration during the initial packet of damage.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug?
Annihilating Fire, Incendiary Flow, and Touch of the Void all use the same implementation, so definitely those. Anger of the Gods, Demonfire, Magma Spray, Nine-Ringed Bo, Pillar of Flame, Red Sun's Zenith, Reduce to Ashes, Serpentine Spike, Unnatural Aggression, Yamabushi's Storm all use the same templating; all except Nine-Ringed Bo are in Manalink. Burn from Within and Flaying Tendrils have the same effect, but it isn't based on having dealt damage.

This is maybe related, maybe not.

Some things that aren't currently broken: If the creature survives (it's a Wall of Bone instead, perhaps, or there's a couple copies of Gaea's Anthem), then either destroy effects or damage dealt later in the same turn properly allow regeneration, and also properly cause it to be exiled if not regenerated. Yamabushi's Flame also interacts properly with damage prevention.
