[confirmed]Shining Shoal redirects damage equal damage card

At least Blazing Shoal, Nourishing Shoal, and Sickening Shoal always charge exactly

, or 
, respectively. You can't pay X other than 0, and you can't exile an appropriately-colored card to cast them without paying their mana costs. (Disrupting Shoal and Shining Shoal are less convenient to test definitively, because of the usual Manalink quirks with counterspells and damage prevention/redirection, so I didn't try.) FIXED

or exile a red card with cmc X from your hand for Blazing Shoal. Analagously for the others.

Most likely it's common to those five.
The actual corner case I was trying to test, and cannot, is whether Manalink lets you splice the card you choose to exile. (From 702.46a: "Example: Since the card with splice remains in the player's hand, it can later be cast normally or spliced onto another spell. It can even be discarded to pay a "discard a card" cost of the spell it's spliced onto.") So if, say, you have a Wastes, a Mountain, and a Memnite on the bf and a Blazing Shoal and Glacial Ray in your hand, you should be able to splice the Ray onto the Shoal, then pay for the combined spell for
and exiling the Glacial Ray from your hand.
