[confirmed]Jace's Mindseeker vs Rest in Peace
by Korath » 09 Jun 2018, 08:46
Describe the Bug:
If the cards milled by Jace's Mindseeker are put in exile instead of their owner's graveyard, you can't cast them.
Which card did behave improperly ?
Jace's Mindseeker.
Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
Dev master head, cde9295.
What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Ruling: 7/1/2013: If the five cards are put into a public zone such as exile instead of a graveyard (perhaps due to the ability of Rest in Peace), you can cast one of those instant or sorcery cards from that zone.
In practice, the only other public zone they could go to is exile. Nothing replaces cards going to the graveyard by putting them in ante or on the stack; instants and sorceries can't exist on the battlefield; and Manalink draws no distinction between the exile and command zones.
Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
Cellar Door, Combustible Gearhulk, Dread Summons, Grenzo, Dungeon Warden, Heretic's Punishment. I haven't tested any of them.

If I have understand correctly the case I guess these cards are also affected: Aberrant Researcher//Perfected Form, Grindstone, Charmed Pendant, Infernal Genesis, Liliana's Indignation, Millikin, Mindshrieker, and Sphinx's Tutelage.
Cards working good with Rest in Peace are: Cellar Door (bugged but tested), Dread Summons, Aberrant Researcher//Perfected Form, Grindstone, Charmed Pendant, Infernal Genesis, Millikin, Mindshrieker, and Sphinx's Tutelage.
Cards not working good with Rest in Peace are: Heretic's Punishment.
Cards that could not be tested as they have different bugs preventing the tests are Combustible Gearhulk, Grenzo, Dungeon Warden, Liliana's Indignation.
