Kavu Titan kicker can be paid if returned to battlefield

Kavu Titan exiled by Oblivion Ring and then come back if Oblivion Ring leaves play triggers kicker and prompts that.

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction?
Kicker triggers only when cast.
