Collectible Card Game Headquarters

Describe the Bug:
My Necropede was destroyed and with it's dying ability I put the -1/-1 counter to Needlebug which has protection from artifacts. Keep in mind that can't target Deadly Insect so the ability seems to target.

Which card did behave improperly?
Necropede? Needlebug? protection from artifacts vs counters?

Which update are you using? (date, name)Which type? (duel, gauntlet, sealed deck)

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction?
Necropede is an artifact and it's dying ability targets so it can't target Needlebug which has protection from artifacts.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug?

It appears to specifically be protection from artifacts vs that death legacy, since

1. A Deathlace'd Necropede can't put a counter on a White Knight; and
2. An Ashnod's Transmogrant'ed Prodigal Sorcerer can't ping a Needlebug.
