[confirm]Chromatic Lantern "randomly" generates black mana

I payed 3 mana to play Chromatic Lantern and it tapped to generate a black mana, but it didn't cast any spell.
I've seen this other times, it just generates black mana. Sometimes it helps to cast other spells, sometimes it just bhrns mana.
