If my Flesh Reaver attacks opponent when I control Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper, I gain 4 life.
Essentially, the damage he does to me and the recovery would cancel each other out and my life would remain the same.

-It is not a bug that Ikra's ability is not limited to combat damage.
I put a Fire Whip on the Flesh Reaver to test it and it did not recover from that ability damage.

This doesn't seem to be a bug as Flesh Reaver deals combat damage to opponent and then it's ability triggers and deals combat damage to it's controller. So it does 4+4= 8 combat damage and gains 8 life from Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper triggering twice. 8 life gain - 4 life loss from Flesh Reaver = 4 life gained.
