- Bughunters needed! | Open
- I simply can´t do everything on my own, so i would need a few reliable people to act as "Bughunters".
The job is very simple and can be done by everyone.
-Just check the Bug Reports forum regularly
-download the attachments posted in there and try to re-create the reported bug
-confirm the bug (reply to the initial topic)
-in case a savegame is missing then please try to create a savegame that can reproduce the bug, post a reply and attach a savegame
And that is all.
One of the moderators will then re-name the topic to [confirmed] or [unconfirmed] as soon as possible.
This way our developers could focus on important stuff without having to watch every single post. They just have to look out for that [confirmed] and can immediately try to fix things.
Once a solution to the Bug has been found the topic will get updated with the new status [fixed] or [unsolvable].
Guidelines and TutorialsGeneral Idea:The basic idea of this Bug Reports section is to keep the Developers job nice and easy so they can "focus" on greater things like:
-adding new cards
-fix bugs
-add new features
-and finally enable Manalink 2.0 to make me some coffee (sooooon!)
Since we cannot help with adding new features/cards beyond simple testing i figured out this system is the next best thing to help.
It is our "focus" to keep Bug Reports correct and organized.
What we do:We are here to verify that savegames can reproduce the actual reported bug and the report itself is easy to understand and not misleading.
Guidelines:We have to make sure the Bug Reports all follow a standard system and keep the quality of the reports as high as possible.
You might want to check
>this< topic to get the general idea how a post should look like.
Frequent tasks:Since most of the users do not live in the happy bunny land, where every User is following the basic rules, we come into play and have to enforce the quality of the reports.
Often times attached savegame are missing/corrupted or the report itself is misleading. Please kindly remind the Topic Creator to fix things like that before you [confirm] a bug.
Otherwise edit in the missing information yourself and make sure it is obvious that YOU changed that.
How To Rename a topic- renaming topics | Open
- The act itself is as easy as editing your own post and rename the topic.
Simply click at the first post and hit "Edit". Then rename the topic
The system used for renaming is also very straight forward.
Topic status and the meaning behind it:- Topic status | Open
- Cardname
This should be the Topics original name, naming the Card that is behaving incorrect. Fist make sure that this is the actual Card that is responsible for the Bug.
When Animate Dead can revive a Sol Ring the topic name should NOT be "Sol Ring".Rename it right there if you have to.
Cardname[unconfirmed,reason]
This should be a topic where you can not confirm the bug. Either the Card is behaving as it should (User misunderstood it) or the Bug can not be reproduced (missing/corrupt savegame , incorrect description of the bug etc).
[confirmed]Cardname
When the report itself is easy to understand and the savegame can reproduce the bug mentioned the topic should have this name.these topics should be made sticky for 60 days
[Fixed by xxx]Cardname
When a Developer has replied to the topic that the bug has been fixed.
Please add the Developers name to the title.you can unsticky those now
