It is not so much of a problem really,I am just trying to help you new members so that you don't waste your and Dev's time and efforts with things that need no further attention.
In fact I want to thank all of you guys because you do a great job in all aspects and tied things up a lot. =D>

Quick question on topic icons: if a dev says they are working on a bug and we waitlist it, should we change the topic icon to something other than a star? I ask because Aswan Jaguar used the question mark (which the announcement thread says is for unconfirmed bugs that need more info) on Emrakul's thread and I'd like to be consistent. Also, what is the difference between the heart 'fixed' icon and the flame 'fixed but needs to be checked' icon?

From the read me pinned topic, what we currently have :

Thread will be tagged as follow for easier check :
Image report of card that need to be checked one more time, the 1st check was not confirmed
Image report of card fixed that need to be checked after next update
Image report of card bug that can't be fixed
Image report of card bug fixed
Image report of card bug confirmed and waiting for fix
Image report of card submitted but not checked nor fixed yet

Yeah, that's what I was referencing. So what is the difference between 2 and 4? And do we want something to differentiate a newly confirmed bug and a waitlisted one? And do we want a specific icon for needing more information?

Before the bug report overhaul, this was a significant difference because when a bug was claimed as fixed, we didn't systematically double check it, the flame symbol was for a mandatory double check (as the dev specifically wanted a double check)

As of now, with the automatic double check, this has lost its purpose so we can discard it for something else if you want

For 2 & 4 as it is now that we check all fixed bugs,2 is no longer necessary. We can use it for something else.
The question mark icon can be used for what is in the table but also for waitlisted bugs that we wait news from Devs.

OK, here is a proposal:

1) star = confirmed bug
2) heart = fixed bug
3) question mark = needs more information
4) thinking cloud = waitlist
5) exclamation in triangle = unconfirmed
6) blushing guy = not a bug
7) radioactive symbol = unfixable

Since we have options we might as well use them instead of having one icon used for multiple things.

I think that proposal makes sense, and updating the icons is a great idea. I love #6 btw.

How about the "new info" status? We have a lot of case where on confirmed-but-hard-to-fix issues and more cases are provided (and sometimes the bump from the new cases is not enough)

Use the flame to indicate new info (then after it is noticed it can be changed to waitlist, info needed or whatever is appropriate).

Thread will be tagged as follow for easier check :
Image report of card that need to be checked one more time, the 1st check was not confirmed
Image report of card that was confirmed but will need further investigation from the devs in order to be fixed aka "wait-listed"
Image report of card confirmed and more infos were added by bug hunters
Image report of card bug that can't be fixed
Image report of card bug fixed
Image report of card bug confirmed and waiting for fix
Image report of card that were not bugged
Image report of card that could not be confirmed and need a check from others bug hunter
Image report of card submitted but not checked nor fixed yet
Is it ok, now? If so someone willingly go and change the icons of all previous reports?

I'll do it. But the archived reports will take some time... :)

Just one quible, the question mark should be more info needed, the exclamation is now the new check needed.

Too many tags and a couple changed like the blush icon now for not bugs instead of unfixable/unsolvable especially the last will be difficult to familiarise with.I have too much on my head with 2 jobs so please put the correct icon when I choose the wrong one.

We have your back. Its just with so many new mods familiarizing themselves now with a new system, its the best time to make changes.

And now you'll be reminded what its like to be a newbie... :)

But seriously, if you do all you do with 2 jobs on the side...wow...can't thank you enough or cut you enough slack...
