These are some screens of another project of mine.
Basic idea is to only support a few competitive constructed decks.
The AI is aware of the purpose of the decks and the engine is rules compliant.
Added are fancy rendering and animations.
Using lwjgl for hardware rendering.
Using software rendering with animated foil layers.
Not saying that it will get there eventually.
I have this idea already for several years.

On the screenshot a lot is going on. It looks much better in motion of course.
Both players have a very basic deck with a couple of red cards.
The players are drawing a card at the draw step and removing the excess card at cleanup.
When a card is drawn, it moves with an animation from the avatar to the hand.
When a card is discarded, it moves from the hand to the avatar.
Cards also shift from position in the player's hand in a smooth way.
The sun in Euphoria is spinning and the foil layers on the avatars and cards are animated.

Animated gif made with screentogif tool.
This is very low resolution. The game scales to any screen size.

Game is now linked to a first basic AI taking random decisions.
Intention is that every included deck will have a custom AI that understands the goal of the deck.
AI is playing lands and permanents with a zero cost in both mains, still without a stack.

Learning the game how to pay mana costs and use lands with a custom deck.
This will be very different from Mad Wizard as a mana pool will be used making the game more flexible.
The delayed mana costs trick that greatly helped the AI speed will not work anymore.

I like this style.
How long have you worked on the drawing?

Thanks Trong22.
All images are screen captures from work in progress.
The actual artwork is not from me, I am not an artist.
Most art I use in my hobby projects comes from web searches.
The drawing code is written during free time this month, reusing some stuff from Dreamwalkers.
All images show the software rendering, except the one with the Minotaur.
