There are some major rules improvements.

Before the year end, here is a new Mad Wizard release 3.2.

There are now 3800 cards in 42 deck themes from 166 sets.
A new option is added to have a randomized theme for every game in the theme settings.
There are also some new theme assets available.

For gameplay there is one change.
Only one game is played against each opponent.
A random player is selected to go first.
This avoids stalling against decks that are hard to beat.
After playing against all 42 opponents, the loop restarts.

Mad Wizard 3.8 is released.

Changes :

• 183 sets, 4292 unique cards, 11380 total cards
• 52 deck themes
• new Bogles and Token deck themes
• updates to existing deck themes
• 2 new scrolling backgrounds
• stability improvement for AI

The Bogles deck theme is based on a constructed deck and is a very fast deck.
When running simulations it could get up to a 90 % winning rate.

Mad Wizard 3.9 is released.

Changes

There are now 4300 unique cards and 11398 total cards.

Image downloading is made a lot faster by using 4 threads.
The token images are now also downloaded if available on Scryfall.
When there are already tokens present, to get all the new ones, delete the existing tokens folder first.

There is a new button next to the theme button to toggle between Mad Wizard and Magarena mode.
As these are basically the same game, the user can now prefer how the game is called.
There might be more differences between the modes later on.

Finally there is a new scrolling background.

Mad Wizard Blue 3.9 is released.

Wait, what is new then?
This is a lightweight version of Mad Wizard 3.9.
It has a blue overall UI theme, contains much less theme assets and only parses the supported cards.
So it will startup a bit faster and it is a lot smaller download, 13 MB instead of 31 MB.
It also uses the same settings and home folder as the regular Mad Wizard.
As a small bonus there is also a new red Bombard deck theme.
