A campaign with the Green deck card pool, started in Mad Wizard 3.5 and finished in 3.6 against the Minimax AI on the hardest setting. The card pool provided very few one-drops this time, so slow starts were common. But the deck excelled in the mid and late game: Nylea, God of the Hunt, Giant Adephage and Bellowing Tanglewurm were the key cards; through a pumped-up, regenerating Cudgel Troll also won games. Win percentage after 49 matches: 59%. Decklist below:

A campaign with the Red deck card pool, started in Mad Wizard 3.6, continued through 3.7 and 3.8, and concluding in 3.9 and 3.9 Blue. Again, Minimax on the hardest setting was the opponent. This was a fun deck to play: using direct damage and Reverberate to repeatedly untap Thermo-Alchemist and Cinder Pyromancer each turn allowed me to control the board and wittle down the opponent. Furyborn Hellkite late game was devastating. Win percentage after 50 matches: 66%. Decklist below:

Hi Cyril, I tried out the campaign deck you supplied for 3 games and also got 66 %. :D

There is indeed a nice interaction with Cinder Pyromancer.

Re: Campaigns

My first Dreamwalkers campaign has finally ended in utter disaster, but I post it here anyway for entertainment and comedy value! Using the Good deck and 500 campaign life in version 9.6, I began well with two easy victories. I began to feel confident in my skills. But after pride comes a fall: I then played the Angel deck with the Minimax AI and loss followed loss followed loss! The amazing life-gain ability of this deck, couple with AI's use of the Angel minion that gives all opponent minions Attacker resulted in some huge defeats where the AI had over 300 life. I lost or conceded 14 times in a row and ended the campaign with a 14% win rate!

Picture1.jpg

I am still learning the game so almost certainly made some horrible misplays. And I also stuck with the default deck throughout - perhaps I should have been modifying it between rounds: I worked out how to remove fragments at a cost of 20 life but not how to replace them with alternatives (I really wanted to add that Angel fragment!). In case there's a random element to the deck archetype, I post it below. My next campaign can only be an improvement!

Thanks for sharing your first Dreamwalkers campaign Cyril! :D
The angel deck theme can indeed be a really strong opponent.
At first it will be hard to determine which fragments need to be replaced.
The decks are made randomly based on the selected theme.

A change that could be done is to play only one game for every opponent like in Mad Wizard.
Another possible change is that the opponent deck would be the same mirror deck.
Also by replacing the right cards a deck can become a lot stronger, but it still involves some luck.

I started a new Campaign in version 9.7 and managed to beat the Angel deck, which is a good sign of my skills improving! The game remains tough, but the new Campaign mode is a big advantage in my opinion as it prevents stalling against the hardest opponents. I am hoping to beat my previous win rate in the new Campaign!

The player cards are present with their full definition in the save so creating custom cards is possible.

I played a campaign with a mono green deck in Magarena 2.0.
Overall it was a good experience with the AI giving a solid challenge.

This game was almost lost. Fortunately the last turn was good for 17 damage. :)

Another campaign in Dreamwalkers 9.7, this time with the Angel card pool. Starting with 10 stars, I managed a more respectable 21 matches with a 52% win-rate. Eirene is the key card in this deck as she eliminates the opponent's defences as a stroke. Fragments with immortal or reincarnate were also useful against aggressive decks as killing them is extremely difficult and they can frustrate the opponent. Deck list below:

Thanks for sharing Cyril. =D>
I agree the Angelic Guards can be strong as it can be replayed over and over.
Best way to get rid of it is to annul the fragment.
Eirene can be strong but not without support and is easy to waste.
Immortal is very good but is still vulnerable to all waste effects and slayer.
Euphoria giving all your minions an attack boost and leech can also be fun.
Persuade, Allure and Mirror can also be useful against these fragments.

Mono red campaign with Magarena 2.0. Part of the deck is a Goblin theme. :)

A tough campaign using a weak Mono Green deck in Magarena 2.0 against Minimax on Hard. The deck was packed with ways to remove flying creatures - and was very effective against decks with such threats. But these were useless cards against many other opponents, and with few cheap creatures the deck struggled for early-game pace. Often winning was a matter of stalling long enough to get a big creature out or to cast Colossification. Win percentage after 25 matches: 32%

Exalted deck theme with latest Mad Wizard 4. I lost the first four games in a row but did make a comeback. :D

Nice example when the theme works well.

I played a first campaign with Dreamwalkers 9.8. I started with 500 total life. The animated foil layers are a cool new feature. 8)
There was an epic battle against the Angels that was won by an empty library while still having 509 life.

Unfortunately the next game was then lost by an empty library. :(

The final result is 13 games played with 11 wins.

It is important to be clever with managing life as it is transferred to the next game.
