Glad you're safe at least! Anyone heard from Rob by any chance? I seem to remember that he stayed in New York as well.friarsol wrote:Just so everyone knows new Jersey got hit pretty hard by hurricane Sandy so I'll be out of power and my code base for probably the next week. Most of the people I know in the city are fine just in similar situations as I an. No power lots of subways not running probably can't get into work. Hopefully he is in the same scenario at worstmoomarc wrote:Glad you're safe at least! Anyone heard from Rob by any chance? I seem to remember that he stayed in New York as well.

Yea gas lines are absolutely brutal in nj as people panic and driver around too much. Theyjust instituted rules on when you can get gas based in your license plate. Hopefully my power comes back soon. Internet in my phone just isn't quite the sameChris H. wrote:The news reports mention that many of the gas stations in your area are closed from lack of power and there are long lines of people waiting to fill th eir tanks.

Yeah, almost tried to wait on a line today, but I was running on fumes. Luckily my brother in law came up from Maryland for a visit and even brought gas, that I was able to fill up enough so I can survive a line tomorrow morning.Chris H. wrote:The news reports mention that many of the gas stations in your area are closed from lack of power and there are long lines of people waiting to fill their tanks.
