TY for response Whizard,

I'm new to the digital MTG series, found it 4 days ago my apologies for any confusion.

I use the skidrow version and this info was exactly what was needed, im not sure if the .text file that was included in mine was trying to be a appid_linking file but i found that i needed to DL a APPID_Linking file first #-o

My bad.

Also found that all cards perform correctly if the Hold-Priority option is on, which being a mtg player for nearly 18 years you would think i would have used that first, but like i said. New to the MTG digital series and to modding it.

I did read the basic tutorials but they didnt direct me to the 2010 DotP files i found here along with the appid_linking file found here :
http://www.slightlymagic.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=102&t=7452&p=92576&hilit=APPID_LINKING+text#p92576

Im using the base thread, that way people can see if they want to go through the trouble to include all of 2010, see if they need a updated core file, and see exactly what decks have been written in to get better understanding i stopped playing at Cascade decks, about the time i guess WotC released DotP.

To me there where just 5 planeswalker.

All cards are now unlocked after downloading and replacing and writting into the appid_linking file the actual code that is for those 2 specific decks using the files i linked above,
But until now i hadnt needed to manually add a Appidlinking file.

The reason the basic tutorials don't link to that thread is because that thread is a release thread for my mod (which ports the DotP 2010 cards and decks to DotP 2013) and is not in any way related to the basic tutorials. If it helped you then great, but the converted DotP 2010 decks and cards are not required for modding and the AppId Linking wad there is out-of-date when you consider all the new decks that have been released for DotP 2013 both by WotC and the many talented and beginning modders here since I last updated it.

I went through the trouble of converting DotP 2010 decks and cards to DotP 2013 both because I liked several of the cards and had been using them as a basis for making decks in DotP 2010 and wanted to have them in DotP 2013 as well and because it gave me a directed way to force myself to learn how to code for DotP 2013 as it was quite different from DotP 2010.

This deck will kill your opponent on the first turn.
Good luck and have a nice day.

black lotus is only lasting until the end of main phase 1. After the combat phase on the second main phase i lose all the mana it gives and does not come back on the next turn. I tested this several times to ensure it really doesn't work right.

I really wish it did, because I got this really epic deck that I've spent a lot of time on creating that I want to share, and It sort of needs that effect to last every turn for maximum devastation.

On a side note your box image is showing up white (no image). Your preview image, backplate, and avatar seem to be working.

The card Black Lotus only generates temporary mana (mana is supposed to be put into the mana pool) and according to the rules of the game the mana (in the mana pool) is only supposed to last until end of step/phase or until it is used, whichever comes first. It is a one time effect because you have to sacrifice the Black Lotus to get the temporary mana. So according to your description of how it is working, it sounds like it is doing exactly what it is supposed to do.
Comprehensive Rules wrote:106.4. When an effect produces mana, that mana goes into a player's mana pool. From there, it can be used to pay costs immediately, or it can stay in the player's mana pool. Each player's mana pool empties at the end of each step and phase.
Even at just 3 temporary mana Black Lotus is quite a powerful card and was not reprinted after Beta (more than 15 years ago). In most tournament formats the card is banned.

Edit: There are other cards that produce 3 mana that can be reused:
It may not be possible to code all of the cards above. Even those that can be coded will suffer from at least one (if not more) problems.

Gilded Lotus is essentially a reusable Black Lotus, though you should notice it costs an extra 5 mana for the casting cost to do this.

ahh, well I never owned or played against anyone with cards like Black Lotus or Dark Ritual. I tested them out and yea they last only 1 phase then on the next phase (like if used it on main phase 1) is lost on the battle phase. I suppose if you used it on the battle phase it would be lost before the main phase 2. Sorry for making a commotion about it, I had no idea what the ruling of it was. I wish counter45 would of said something besides "nvm its working." I was messing with the code for hours trying to figure out why it isn't working. I should of just went on gatherer and looked at some rulings. I just got up about an hour ago, I'm pretty much done with the deck I'm working on, but I"m having some trouble with coding a card. I'll post about it here in a min. Thanks for the info RiiakShiNal
