Can someone recognize these releases?

Postby Takhen » 07 Mar 2013, 21:55

In my downloads' folder, after gathering WADs under the name of the editor and cores they need I have some that I didn't recognize, so can someone of you tell me if remember from which topic it comes from, if need some core or not, if more are of the same modders so that I could keep also a folder with its name?

These the names:
DECK_7445003, named "24 seven"

Deck_ 1406_ST
Deck_ 1408_ST
Deck_ 1409_ST (here maybe there is a 1407)

Deck_5156_ST, "DECK_REACTION_SANCTUARY"

Deck_1986, "Eldrazi Crush" and "Sliver Frenzy" (here I have a lot of Slivers' deck, so maybe those two are related)

Deck_1985_ST
Deck_1986_ST
These are the Slivers I was talking, so "Will of the Swarm", "Might of the Swarm", "Heart of the Swarm", "Sliver Shivers", "Sliver Evolution"

Deck_11381_ST
Deck_11382_ST
Deck_11383_ST
Those 3 are called in Italian (can't say if there are english titles) "Gemellare" "Progetto Melira" "Ascensione degli Eldrazi"

Deck_0011_ST, ITA "Genio" or "Djinn", recognizable because it have the same name of an original one

Deck_0099_ST, ITA "Segreti rivelati" that one with the Szadek, maybe this could be a track

Ah, and I'm trying to keep a folder for the "official modders" so that when there will be releases I have less problems in updating only the wads in question, these my folder based on the "version number" that make me think that it is on a upgrade's way, did I forgot someone? :)
BlindWillow v5b
Firemind v7
Kevlahnota &Co r27
Loookaz 1.4
Pccastellazzi Feb2013
RiiakShiNal v1.2.2
Skullblakka 14.1
SoulStorm 3.1
Sumomole v8
Those uses no mods made by others, right?

Thank you for the attention :)

I don't have all of the mods you listed, but I wrote the authors' names on the directories of the unpacked WADs I kept:
Deck_1138_ST - BlindWillow - viewtopic.php?f=102&t=7847
Deck_1985_ST - GravitonGamer - viewtopic.php?f=102&t=7441
Deck_0976_ST - MisterBenn - viewtopic.php?f=102&t=7438
Deck_362801_ST - skullblakka - viewtopic.php?f=102&t=8346
Deck_0623_ST - sumomole - viewtopic.php?f=102&t=8340
Deck_1986 - tyrany - viewtopic.php?f=102&t=7445
(I'm not listing kevlahnota and RiiakShiNal because you already know their files.)

And here's the one with Szadek:
viewtopic.php?f=102&t=7571
I remember it because I helped with the graphics.

I missed these three from your list (But I have some others like Loookaz that you didn't list and I don't know why, maybe that you missed are non official?)

I thought bad that tyrany's and graviton's were related because they are progressive
But why you added theirs? They are "official modders"? I didn't found the version number, so that made me doubt

Then I have doubt about MisterBenn's: it is only one deck, why to add in the list of modders and not in separated ones like "Miracles" or "Legendary"?

As I wrote before, I listed only the WAD files I had. For some mods I decided to keep only the WAD with the cards because I wasn't interested in the decks, or to keep nothing. I just wanted to contribute on your search with what I got.

Well, considering no one is paid to be a modder you could say that anyone who has released a deck or a new card is an "official modder" as they "officially" released what they made.

Some modders don't have version numbers because they only made the one release. For some it's because they aren't used to doing multiple releases and just didn't think to do it. It wasn't till the 3rd or 4th release of the Community DLC that there was a version number.

I have no exactly characteristics, I could say that if a modder has done more mods I could keep a folder with its name, if it is a singole deck it is more useful to keep a folder with all singles

Good luck.

PC is my planar deck, with some planes belonging to the first Planechase release.
BSL stands for "basic snow lands": it contains them and a LAND_POOL sample for using them in a deck. Unfortunately, DotP lacks the support for snow mana, so there isn't much you can do with them.
I think that unpacking those WADs and looking inside them would have answered your question automatically...

About the planechase I thought it was planechase by the PC, but I found strange to find a PC deck, that is also the only modded deck of this type I found, because as I know it is not possible to chose which PCdeck use in a PC match, no?
And also because I thought that the PC deck is the one, with all PC cards (Planechase had a single edition with an expansion of some cards, so there are no so many cards)

If there are PC cards not already in the game I want them all! :o

My planar deck contains all the planes from Planechase 2012, which were included in the official deck, and some of the planes from the first Planechase release, which I added. You can't choose which planar deck to use, but my deck will be used instead of the official.
I wanted to add them all, but I got bored after a while because my Localised tool can't find planar cards (they are not present on magiccards.info) and the other tools around here don't do all the "post-processing" I want on my cards (for example changing "..." to “...”). I'll add the missing planes someday, just not now. :D

If the problem is to find the cards is should have saved images of all Planechase and Planechase 2012

And because I am italian, if they are italian too I can translate the text to you, if they are english I could make the italian translation

However also the only english text is no bad, because the hard part is the code, the translation (you talk about localised, so I think it is the problem) can simply be added a language for time from the user that if need comes from that country and so could translate :)

(I didn't understand the problem in the part of "...", in the localised text the code is very low and always the same)

As you can see here, the illustrations are available. And the localised text is available, too, it's just that I have to copy it from Gatherer (or from pcastellazzi's generator, but there's not much difference for what concerns me) instead of having it ready in the way I want it.

Takhen wrote:(I didn't understand the problem in the part of "...", in the localised text the code is very low and always the same)
It's not a problem, it's just that I want cards to be as close as I can to the real ones, and real cards don't use "straight" quotes, but “graceful” quotes. With a bigger text size you can tell the difference:
"..." --> “...”
My Localised tool automatically makes the substitution (also for the apostrophe).

At the moment I'm working on something that will be useful for this. Just give me some time.

I will wait with hope, make me know when there are news! :D :D :D

By returning of my "Guess Who?" topic, the hoping-last file I can't recognize by my self is Data_DLC_0030.wad
I didn't add before because it isn't a deck, some people knows?
