Question about getting the new decks working?

Postby LinuxPoser » 04 Apr 2013, 21:41

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I've been hunting around for a good 40 minutes looking for a solution.

I tried to install some custom decks, and so far all the new decks show they have 10 cards, and the rest as mana.

I duplicated the 2013 magic folder, copied the latest .dll wrapper, and copied over all the .wad files.

There was also a temp fix wad and a cosmetic wad I copied over, which seemed to add a few cards to each new deck, but everything still feels broken.

Is there something simple I'm missing?

What wads did you download? Make sure that you download all of the needed wad files. Some modders put a lot of their CORE data on a separate wads so ensure you have everything from their threads.

This seems similar to the problem reported by dracolion here. Make sure you downloaded and installed all the files of the mods you chose, not just the decks. Most mods have separated decks plus a "core" file that contains the cards. My mod, for example, has Deck_1999_Core.wad. If you aren't missing any file, it's possible that your download got interrupted and you have only a part of the core file. Re-open the download links and check your file size against the one reported on the download page. If your file is smaller, re-download it.
