I will also add that there should be an "add" option in the Deck Editor when you click on a card already in your deck. Searching for the cards are a pain.
Additionally, one thing that bugs me is that sometimes the AI will cast something and I won't see it. My creature will just suddenly die for no reason. I know I can see what was done by checking the log, but it would be nice if spells would actually go to the stack and wait for me to click OK, even if I don't have a response. I don't like when things are happening that I can't see. (If there is a setting for this somewhere, please point me to where it is; because I haven't seen it).
Thanks.

Spells always go on the stack and always need your input before going on. Perhaps you are pressing space bar too quickly? I do this sometimes, you may not physically see it because you already pressed the input to bypass the stack resolution.ProphetSword wrote:Additionally, one thing that bugs me is that sometimes the AI will cast something and I won't see it. I'm confident that the problem is related to spells cast during combat not switching from the combat tab to the stack tab.friarsol wrote:Spells always go on the stack and always need your input before going on. Would it be possible to let forge look for dck files in all subdirectories of the deck directory (recursively, of course)?
Pros:
1) In general, a directory structure is a good way of organizing files when the files number in the thousands.
2) I imagine this would be easy to implement.
Cons: Can't think of any.

Actually, that would make a lot of sense. Maybe what I'm asking for, then, is for Forge to be able to switch back to the stack whenever something new appears there. That might clear up the problem.Sloth wrote:I'm confident that the problem is related to spells cast during combat not switching from the combat tab to the stack tab.friarsol wrote:Spells always go on the stack and always need your input before going on. I'd like to propose a new algorithm for selecting card images to display as an alternate option in Preferences.
Currently, if I understand it correctly, if a card doesn't have a set specified, the chronologically latest image is used. This leads to unsightly behaviour when old decks have random cards in new frames because they were reprinted while the rest weren't.
I suggest a min-max approach:
First, the deck is parsed, and for each card you find the OLDEST set where it appears.
Second, you find the NEWEST set out of this group. This tells you earliest date when the deck could exist.
Third, for each card, assign the picture from the latest set it appears in, but no later than the "earliest date" set.
Of course, this is still not perfect algorithm, some Standard decks might look weird if they contain a card that was reprinted after a long time, but as an option, it should still look interesting and it would introduce older pictures of cards without them being in clash with the rest of the decks.

While I'm not disagreeing with your proposal, I just want to clarify. First it tries to use the appropriate set picture (assuming one is specified), if that doesn't exist, it uses the normal pictures, it doesn't "fall back" to the next set picture in line. For example, I only download the set pictures, and not the normal pictures. So when a card is reprinted in a set (like M14) I see the generic image until the set images are ready.Marek14 wrote:Currently, if I understand it correctly, if a card doesn't have a set specified, the chronologically latest image is used. In quest mode, I currently have 24 copies of Naturalize, and multiples of many, many other cards. Perhaps the ability to sell these extras with the 'sell all extras' button? Possibly a section in the preferences tab to turn this on/off, and to specify set which cards to keep, possibly oldest or newest?

I can't stand mana screw.
Could there be an option to make the first mulligan seven cards instead of six? The second mulligan six cards, etc.? For the computer too?

There's an option in the fantasy quest bazaar that will give you one free mulligan.RobertAugust wrote:I can't stand mana screw.

Thanks Timmermac, but I'm hoping to also have it in all formats, especially draft.

Would it be possible to add filters to decks view? Say I want to play a deck with Doubling Season. What if I could simply write "Doubling Season" in the "Contents filter" and only decks that contain that string will be visible? And random selection will then only choose from them until the filter is canceled.
Two filters would be probably necessary: one for name of decks, one for their contents.

With over 9300 deck files now in my Constructed folder, this is becoming more and more desirable. Since I don't have the skills, I'm waiting patiently for a Dev to become interested.

in de quest shop, some sets have only boosters available (SH, EX, 7th, 8th). its nearly impossible to get some cards from these sets when doing an unrestricted quest. could this be changed?
could also booster boxes be available in the shop?
thnx!

You can go into the quest.preferences file and increase the number of single cards available in the quest mode card shop. I do not know what the upper limit for that is, but I have had it go pretty high.serrasmurf wrote:in de quest shop, some sets have only boosters available (SH, EX, 7th, 8th). its nearly impossible to get some cards from these sets when doing an unrestricted quest. could this be changed?
