A first attempt at vectorizing a jpg:

I know the font isn't quite 100%, but it is something, at least.

Thanks for the FTV20.

As I've pointed out before, alpha and beta editons had the first mana symbol designs. The symbols were each edited once by unlimited and twice by 5th edition to their more or less current state.

I'd like to get these vectorized, but the specimens aren't that great. I have however discovered the original red and green symbols to be printed on an oversized card, which will almost certainly be sufficient to work from!

The card is Stormbind, a Winter of 1999 arena league prize for second place. Does anybody have it? Please scan the symbols at 1200 dpi and share. Thanks!

Here's a slightly improved FTV20 symbol.

Okay after closer inspection Alpha, beta, and unlimited use these symbols. Revised introduced slightly edited versions of the blue and black symbols, I'm not going to fuss with those revisions. By fifth edition, we had the symbols we use today.

I need better reference material to create the black mana symbol. I may be able to layer several scans to knock out the printing moirre that makes working from a single scan impossible, but I'll need multiple scans of the unlimited edition swamps to do this, 1200 DPI please.

Ah heck with it. Here's the blue and black symbols from Revised. I'll skip the ABU black instead.

Thank you for the fixes. :) I didn't make them myself, my friend did. I'll let him know. Sorry about that!
