depends...1) you could post it on a site then use the [ img ] tags. or
2) you could upload it to the site via attachment.

I put my halfbaked set on my site and posted the link. That way you can see some of the cards with art and those without.

I have to note that I refactored many of the cards but lost that set somehow during an MSE crash and somehow managed to not post the changes on the site, so the cards shown a) are missing art that is made for them b) are the original rough draft ideas. Lots of tweaking needs to be done on them to make the set playable. I just have been too lazy to do it.

What I think we should do when creating user-generated cards, is to implement them just using keywords exclusively, or as much as possible.
I find it tricky enough to just implement the real existing magic cards is what I mean to say

Another thing that would be cool is to have some way to be able to separate the existing cards from the user-generated ones.

I saw this picture of a goblin on the internet one day and copied it to my harddrive.
It sat there doing nothing until I heard of MSE. Time to make a card... I remembered the art and, well...
Take a look at the picture and you will understand that it just HAD to be named this way.
A clear case of the art making the card.
There is alreay a card in Magic with a symilar ability but you sacrifice the goblin in the process. This one is slightly smarter.

Please note: I did not draw the image and I have no idea who drew it. Also, no idea about copy rights so maybe if this card gets in MTGForge, I should make one without the art.
But hey, without the art, no card!

Sure thing, I'll just do keyword only cards for now. And when the list advances i'll use different keywords so theres not much coding needing to be done.

I was motivated to download MSE and try again to complete my set at least in terms of card mechanics. I found that I couldn't import my old set files as somehow Id neglected to get them off my old pc. So I set about to recreate it from scratch many hours later, sans the art (which will come eventually) I managed to do so.

http://outofthebrokensky.com/mse-sets/new-raven-6-2-09/

Just click on a thumbnail to show the card in readable format. Scroll down for the whole list. I plan to put it in text format as soon as they fix the html exporter over at MSE. (Apparently it is a known bug that it doesn't work though it worked somewhat in an older version. Go figure. :P)

My favorite of the bunch so far:

Just as long as they are stored in their own file set, then it's fine. They shouldn't be part of the releases. If you're saying that it would be cool that we had a way of dynamically switching up the set files while MTGForge is running... then yes, that would be a cool feature to have. But since the cards are loaded on startup, I don't know if that will be feasible.

I love coming up with complex cards that are nonetheless within the realm of the possible for Incantus' engine. For example, I've got one card which is an equipment card with three abilities and no Equip keyword (one of the abilities attaches itself). Some of my favourite cards actually come from ideas other people gave me, in fact. Here's three cards (or rather the text thereof) the ideas for which were given to me by Incantus (for the first one) and Marek14 (for the other two):

Fencing Xenomorpher
3GU
Creature - Shapeshifter
1/3
As Fencing Xenomorpher comes into play, you may choose a creature in play. If you do, Fencing Xenomorpher comes into play as a copy of that creature and gains "Creatures come into play as a copy of this creature except for its name."

Yes, that will turn every creature played into the same creature as long as any copies survive (since the copying ability will itself be copied).

Mirror Break
2UR
Sorcery
Put a token into play that's a copy of a creature of your choice target opponent controls. That player puts a token into play that's a copy of a creature of their choice you control.

I was especially proud of being able to code this one in Incantus.

Tax Collector
3WU
Creature - Human Advisor
0/2
At the beginning of your upkeep, if you control more permanents than each of your opponents, sacrifice Tax Collector.
At the beginning of each opponent's upkeep, that player chooses a permanent he or she controls. You gain control of that permanent.

I was afraid this one would be overpowered, but it actually worked out quite well in my test. The opponent just gave up cards like Pacifism (which won't exactly change effects if their controller changes) until the Tax Collector self-destructed. So proper use of it is as much about timing as it is about having a deck made to take advantage of it (of course, being able to Stifle the first trigger definitely improves it).

They'd all turn into copies, of course. Every creature comes into play as a copy.

Mind you, my favourite (of those three) is probably Mirror Break, although I've been wondering if it would be better to make it create the tokens simultaneously or (as it currently does) one after the other. It's not a balance issue for the user, but for their opponent, since they can choose the first token and get a copy of their own creature (which isn't quite in the spirit of the flavour).

Yeah I was referring to the way programs handle tokens becoming other things...
