He must be a glutton for punishment. :)

I have never gone with a 60 card deck in quest mode. I keep it at 40 and have only played a three color deck when I had a really good three color gold card.

He says
Quest is the most fun I’ve had playing Magic in a year.
Awesome!

BTW, is there a minimum sized deck you must use in quest mode? That confuses me.

Pretty cool, I hope the guy didn't run into too many bugs :D

And Huggy, nope, there's no minimum size enforced. Actually, if you run out of cards in your deck currently you don't even lose

I intended players to just use 40 card decks similar to sealed deck or draft but people can play using as many (or few) cards as they want to. I try to not put any restrictions on deck size or compisition (you can include more than 4 copies of a card).

Truthfully I had to just guess at everything. How many cards should a player start with? How many cards does a player win? When should a player win cards? What to do at the end? These questions are game balancing questions which don't have any real answers.

I haven't played the quest mode, but I too would have assumed to build a 40 card deck at least at first. Maybe over the course of an extended quest building up to a 60 card deck might be a possibility.

Since I always play hard mode, this is the way I play it. I start with 40 cards, adding cards to my deck when I win them, 'till I'm at 60 cards.
