Was just checking the SVN, and thanks for fixing ghost-lit nourisher and shimatsu, the bloodcloaked, Agetian. Was always wondering if anyone was doing anything with those little issues I was reporting.

In draft mode, the AI doesn't pick masterpieces. They all apparently have a ranking of 1, which means that they'll be the last card picked before the basic lands.

Ranking #1 is top pick, not the other way around Basic lands are all assigned the ranking of #999, which is the lowest possible.Pux wrote:In draft mode, the AI doesn't pick masterpieces. Maybe in your particular scenario the AI had some other competing top pick that it preferred instead? :/ (quite rare but might happen). I'll try to play around with some drafts and see how the AI would pick masterpieces. If there's anything to fix, I'll see if I can fix it.

When Combat Celebrant is exerted other creatures untap, but there is no extra combat phase.

Just tested this and it worked fine for me. Either this has already been fixed upstream after 1.6.0 (though I don't remember a relevant commit that would affect it), or maybe there were some special conditions under which it did not work? If it doesn't work for you again, please attach the screenshot of the battlefield so that I can take a look.hjorti wrote:When Combat Celebrant is exerted other creatures untap, but there is no extra combat phase.

when you put a -1/-1 counter on a creature with Modular, the creature is still transfering a +1/+1 counter to another artifact creature. Example: I activate Grasping Dunes targeting Arcbound Worker. When Arcbound Worker dies, it still moves a +1/+1 counter to Frogmite

That's correct. The creature dies of 0 toughness before the counters offset each otherlazylockie wrote:when you put a -1/-1 counter on a creature with Modular, the creature is still transfering a +1/+1 counter to another artifact creature. The Scorpion God doesn't seem to register some creatures dying by -1/-1 counters.
It appears as if the ability won't trigger when a creature with no -1/-1 counters on it gets enough -1/-1 counters placed on it for it to die (e.g. Grizzly Bears with 0 -1/-1 counters getting 2 -1/-1 counters won't cause The Scorpion God's ability to trigger).
Edit:
Sorry, my example here doesn't seem to be valid. The Scorpion God's ability still seems to not trigger at all times.
Edit 2:
Nevermind, it appears the problem was caused by the command zone replacement effect. So there isn't a bug involved.
Edit 3:
Actually there is a bug.
The Scorpion God has Wither because of Everlasting Torment. It gets blocked by Goblin Sky Raider which receives 6 combat damage (as -1/-1 counters). But The Scorpion God's ability won't trigger.

not that I'm doubting you sol, you're quite rules expert here. I just got very curious why it happens this way. So I checked on discord for a better explanation, turns out it's confusing but it kinda works? lolfriarsol wrote:That's correct. Sure, so what happens when you put a -1/-1 on the worker, is that there are two state based actions that need to occur. Since neither gets priority over the other, they both occur at the same time.
All state-based actions are applied simultaneously. Basically in a single step the Worker goes from a creature on the battlefield with a +1/+1 and a -1/-1 ability to a creature in the graveyard with both counters removed. Dies triggers use last known information, they go back in time to see what the final state of the creature was. In this case the last time the Worker was on the battlefield it had both counters.
So you get the modular trigger.

The cumulative upkeep on Thought Lash doesn't work properly. It adds Age Counters, but only exiles 1 card no matter how many counters are on it

Please upgrade to the latest beta release. Your issue may have been resolved in the interim.
