[confirmed]Raging Ravine no extra trigger from reactivation
by Korath » 04 Jun 2018, 07:36
Describe the Bug:
Raging Ravine can be animated multiple times, but it only ever gets one counter when it attacks.
Which card did behave improperly ?
Raging Ravine.
Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
Dev master head, cde9295.
What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
The animation ability doesn't remove any abilities the permanent already had.
Ruling:
3/1/2010: Each time you activate Raging Ravine's last ability, it gains an instance of the triggered ability "Whenever this creature attacks, put a +1/+1 counter on it." For example, if you activate the last ability twice and then attack with Raging Ravine, both of the triggered abilities it gained will trigger. It will get a total of two +1/+1 counters.
(Nightmare fuel: If the card becomes something else between activation and resolution of its manland ability - for example, it's a Thespian's Stage copying a Raging Ravine, you activate the Raging Ravine animation ability, then activate the Thespian's Stage copy ability targeting some other land - it needs to have all the abilities of the newly-copied land, but still be a red and green 3/3 creature with an attack trigger. Just sticking that on an effect card isn't complete either, because if you then activate the Thespian's Stage ability again, it should stop being red, green, 3/3, and a creature, and lose the triggered ability. None of this is likely to matter in practice.)
Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
It's the same game situation and rules as Genju of the Fields here, but a completely different implementation.
