Mtgdb.Gui: search MTG cards, build decks, manage collection

Hi

I noticed that there is a new version (I currently have the 4.0.4.0) but the Update button is grey in the app. So I just downloaded the new version, but now, how do I actually upgrade ? Do I simply unzip ? And if so, which folders/files do I need to copy-paste to get my database transferred ?

I was wondering if (maybe I am missing it), there is a way to print just a list of cards to pull for a deck? Like a pull list including the card name and set it is from? Set can be shown as just a symbol or the abbreviated set code. Everything I have is alphabetical sorted and by set. I have been looking around the program a bit, still learning what I can do with it, and amazed with everything you have done with it.

Pull or a pull list, is just the list of cards in the deck. Usually just the name of the card and the set it is from.

Save deck to file, try different formats. All saved deck formats are plain-text, quite similar to what you described.

Thanks a lot for the update.

But... There is something wrong with token zoom. For me there aren't working well. Only found Shapeshifter - CM2 (token) working well, everything else doesn't show up even if there were downloaded correctly. Illusion - MH1/RNA/XLN/MMA/ZEN (token) zoom works but as the Illusion//Reality - APC but Illusion - F18 (token) doesn't show it!!! Something weird is going on with tokens.

Didn't have time to check my laptop and see if your advice would work, sorry about that will do soon and report.

Thanks for reporting Qumojo. Fixed token zoom in 4.0.6.1

Unfortunately I also broke auto-update in 4.0.6.0 so update to 4.0.6.1 has to be done manually.
Download from https://py3j9.app.goo.gl/dl and extract .zip content over Mtgdb.Gui installation directory.

Not a problem with no auto-update, I end up doing it this way no matter what

So far, so good, I haven't encounter any more bugs or anything weird happening

For next update, do not rush, just suggestion, it would be nice to have the "token" layout filter button added with the others flip, adventure, etc filters on the right menu.

Thanks again for your hard work, it is so nice to be able to search quickly and precisely that special card that will make our friends hate us!!!

Hi, as i still updating the artwork for MTGdb.Gui i facing issue in get the right artist name like [artist Jason A. Engle] Did the dot in the name get in trouble for the app to understand ?

UPDATE: you are right, it's due to dot in the middle. Will fix it the coming weekend.

UPDATE: released 4.0.6.9 which should fix it.

Hi aidscoi, the problem does not reproduce for me, just downloaded new file, restarted the application and everything seems to work fine.
What are the sympthoms you are having? Logs?

I am attempting to import a 500ish card collection via a custom text file, but for some reason it only imports 4 cards.

The file is in this format (small excerpt):

1 Mana Breach (7ED)
1 Jalum Tome (6ED)
1 Levitation (7ED)
1 Iron Star (8ED)
1 Hunted Wumpus (8ED)
1 Ogre Taskmaster (8ED)
1 Wing Snare (8ED)
1 Web (9ED)


But the result is that it imports 2 Illusion token cards (not part of the collection), and some my dual cards Wax/Wane and Night/Day.

I assumed this was part of the dual card throwing off the syntax. Example:

1 Night // Day (APC)
2 Illusion // Reality (APC)


So I simply removed those cards from the file, tried to import it again and the result is nothing. 0 cards imported, no message or error or anything.

I'm stumped! Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you in advance for your help!
