Future of the Magic Album - please read this

I've started developing MA ~10 years ago. A lot has changed since... I do not play MTG now (including online versions) and no longer interested in it. I play another online CCGs to satisfy my mind.
For the past years I've only updated MA database and pictures but even this became a chore for me. Long ago WotC printed 3-4 sets per year plus some promos. Now we additionally have lots of small sets plus infinite number of different promos/alternate versions/etc. Inclusion of all these cards in the database requires a lot of time... time invested in the thing I'm longer interested in.
And now I'm finally done Core Set 2021 is on gatherer, but I simply do not want to make a DB update... Sry What should I do? I have two variants:
Other ideas? Volunteers? Just write here or PM me.

- Upload all my tools/database/sources and forget about it. Scryfall has an excellent site with the database\pictures\api.
- We need someone to continue my work. They will receive all the tools and my help to understand it.
Other ideas? Volunteers? Just write here or PM me.

Why don't you just ask from the admins to make a Board just for the MA.
One thread for developers and one for the users.
Just put all your assets and code on github or MEGA or whatever, add a small txt with the most essential info for the future developers and surely there will be people eager and ready to continue supporting your work.

I wish it were true. Look down the forum to the Retirement Home section, where there are dozens of fantastic but abandoned projects.
GH, I'm probably in the same situation as you. I haven't played MTG in a long time, and now there's Slay the Spire if I need a fix.
Thanks for Magic Album and everything else you've done and continue to do.

Goblin Hero,
I might be interested in continuing it. I have been interested in creating a web-based version for a long time, but time constraints have made it difficult.

- What language is Magic Album written in?
- Are the tools you use to get the card data in the same language?
- Do you get all/most data by scraping the Gatherer site?
- How much manual entry do you have to do?

Yes.
I scrape gatherer for big sets. But still a little bit of manual work is needed.
All promos/tokens/etc are added manually.

Goblin Hero,
I will continue working much harder on a web-based version, but it could take a few weeks/months to get something working. I am confident that I could have something up before Zendikar Rising comes out in September. In the meantime, if someone could keep MA going until then it would be great. Unfortunately I have never worked with C++ before. I think the project would need to be taken over by someone who knows it really well.
I am currently working on a program to scrape the data and put it in a database. It is coming along very well, but there is still a lot to do. Would it be possible for you to export the MA database in csv's that I could then import into my database? That would save a lot of time. Then I could concentrate on just getting new data in when my scrape program is fully working.
Also, I want to create something to import MA inventory and deck files into the website.
