Help with build from source (OutOfMemoryError)

Hi,
I'm trying to build Xmage from source in Intellij, but I am getting java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space. I saw in the documentation to increase build heap size, however this seemed to have no change to my build and I continue to get the error. Any insight would be appreciated (I'm new to using maven). Thanks.

Never mind, it was an issue with the specific JDK I was using. (32-bit 1.8.0_221)

Glad you figured it out! Yeah, the 32-bit JDK often runs into memory issues like that since it can’t allocate more than ~1.5–2 GB of heap space. Switching to a 64-bit JDK is usually the way to go when working with Maven/IntelliJ builds.
