I can't duplicate the problem. Going directly to deck builder from the launcher does not crash me. Going to deck builder from the program group menu works, and launching deck.exe directly works too.

Has anybody used the game online yet?

It's not a real problem because I still can use deck builder by other way.

It's maybe my configuration (XP), and maybe because I don't have internet, or something relative to my computer.

Sometimes the game crash, it's not predictable, but it's always in duel.

Thank's

And the Apprentice Wizard art is wrong as well. In fact there are still quite a few problems in there.

I'm currently working through the CardArtNew folder and correcting all the art problems - including the overly dark images like 'Brass Man'. I'm also in the process of sorting out the missing and incorrect text as well.
'Watchwolf' now has it's flavour text, as does Phyrexian Walker. 'Ponder' has had the square font removed, and I've done a couple of others as well.

If anybody else has found any text problems let me know and I'll look into it. :)

That's great news sonic, keep us informed of your progress. Do you know when you might be done?

<edit>
All pics should be the same size and quality, clear with no aliasing and no border.

Smallest is 168x135

Largest is 570x417

Some pics have a full border. Many have a border line on the bottom only.

0944 has a huge border

Other pics have a narrow border

Some pics have the artist name, most don't.

I had a report of a shell32.dll error under Win Server 2003. If anyone else has this version of Windows and can test please let us know.

Apparently Morale doesn't work in Shandalar.

Autorun problem report:

Downloaded. Burned. Installed.
It didn't wanna install. Kept malfunctioning.
Opened the disc. Looked around. Instead of "Autorun," I just went to "Setup" and doubleclicked the .exe for it.
Installed fine. Works fine on Win 7, 64.

Sonic wrote:I've found where the ACT fix is installed. If you want to confirm the patch is installed.

C:\WINDOWS\AppPatch\Custom\{a517a98e-d5c2-41ea-a12d-47365cbd8813}.sdb
As I installed ISO again to check/correct images, I can confirm this patch file with the same "long" name is installed in my windows directory - and even directory is the same, just the drive letter is other then C:.

This "included fix" still does not work for me (I do not know if whole fix is not working but I see no Y/N in towns when buying a card and it is one of things that should be fixed).

EDIT: Lol, I found a solution :o I copied this file on drive C: with the same dir/name and now I can see "Y/N". It seems the best option could be just to put this file into game (sub)directory and correct pathname to "./" (dot+slash) in "calling the fix" procedure.

BTW: When I'm trying to uninstall it is looking for file on C: drive, and command is: %windir%\system32\sdbinst.exe -u "C:\Windows\AppPatch\Custom\{a517a98e-d5c2-41ea-a12d-47365cbd8813}.sdb" (but it was installed on partition other than C:). To fix this problem I think universal uninstallation command should looks like: "%windir%\system32\sdbinst.exe -u "%windir%\AppPatch\Custom\{a517a98e-d5c2-41ea-a12d-47365cbd8813}.sdb"

That's very good info, thanks! Myabe hip63 can take that into account if he ever re-does the installer. The problem is he's lost the source files. :(

Oh, bad news :( Anyway if he ever tries here is short summary of problems to fix I've found with solutions (starting with the most important one):

Problem: Wrong card images.
Temporary solution: Download this file and unpack it into CardArtNew directory: http://www.mediafire.com/?dmyiogzwdbj
Final solution: Replace these images on ISO.

Problem: Smiling Spectre's ACT Fix does not work.
Temporary Solution: Find [your windows directory]\AppPatch\Custom\{a517a98e-d5c2-41ea-a12d-47365cbd8813}.sdb file and copy it to: C:\WINDOWS\AppPatch\Custom\{a517a98e-d5c2-41ea-a12d-47365cbd8813}.sdb
Final solution: Install {a517a98e-d5c2-41ea-a12d-47365cbd8813}.sdb file into Magic (sub)directory and correct path to it in "calling the fix" game procedure.

Problem: Multiple instances of Magic TG Launcher.
Temporary solution: Exit Launcher manually.
Final solution: Make Launcher to auto-exit after selecting an option.

Problem: Shandalar has at start some old "Resume game" with invalid deck (contains too many copies of The Brute card).
Temporary solution: Delete "Resume game" files from Magic directory, as it is not needed or just do not use it.
Final solution: Delete "Resume game" files from ISO.
