Release Thread - 0.99p - Updated version 2010-04-03
by Jorbes » 03 Apr 2010, 18:34
So I've made some changes to the 0.99p release without breaking compatibility, so the version number doesn't need to change. (changing the version causes people to no longer be able to play each other on the server when they have different versions).
1.) The progam no longer starts maximized by default. You can change this by adding the parameter '-max' to the shortcut (without the ' )
2.) The Chat Line is hide able via the View menu.
3.) Improved the cards data file to include Ae cards again, the fix for the server having duplicates in the booster will be in the next server release. Also fixed some issues with the updater, it should be working properly now.
4.) You can now set the starting player for Solitaire Mode and also allow for automatic rotation of beginning player for each Game (via Reset)
5.) Dice graphics changed to be more basic. It's a rounded square. Also added a popup menu to the dice for right clicks.
6.) There was a bug with printing P/T on the highlight card. It didn't use the settings properly, this is now fixed.
7.) I have removed the yellow-splash-bar-loader-thingy. It may be the cause of the crashes, so let me know if they still exists without this loader thingy. You will not see what's going on at the moment, but if this fixed the crash issue, I will create an old-school loader window.
8.) I did not create a life points control for each player, because this would only apply to solitaire mode. I did create new functionality to the player panels to support changing life totals for other players in solitaire mode. By clicking the life icon, you can de/increase the life total by 1, by holding the Ctrl key by 3, by holding the Shift key by 5 and by holding both Ctrl and Shift, you are asked to enter a new value for the life total. Decrease by left mouse click, increase by right mouse click.

Make it so that instead of "1 d10", for example (when adding a die), it just says "d10".

In solitaire mode: If the top card in any library is a creature, you can see its power and toughness in the zone and the card preview...

I bet it's related to fixing the pwr/tgh issue hehe.
Okay, did a quick fix and upload, we should be good now.
Not sure how many people downloaded it, but I guess you would not want to run a money tournament with this one, because some players could have this bugged version (with built in cheat )

Well, good jorbes job...err....i mean good job Jorbes !
In my previous post, i said that with the last version of online play table, a friend of mine had crash on his comp with a large monitor (16:9). I told him this evening to test the updated version and it works perfectly on his comp now \o/.
The new version of the dice is ok and , yeah, no more pw/tg on the highlighted card with full image. It's better to read now.
in the future, do you plan to change the mana symbols with the real MTG ones ? (not to say that i don't like them...no no no, it's just a question )
if i see new bugs, i'll post again.

That's good news, I will create a window loader screen in the next version, so you can once again see what's going on.Commissaire Rodo wrote:Well, good jorbes job...err....i mean good job Jorbes !

I will not add any copyrighted images to the project myself, but maybe some day someone will create a new theme with them in it and share it with us
After I make changes to the way themes are built, I will try to get a themebuilding contest going.
Cheers,
Jorbes.

I have encountered another problem:
Every time i maximize or minimize the window of OPT on my Windows 7 x64 PC, it keeps on showing this error message
I also had this error in the previous version, it isn't a big issue as it seems to not influence opt in any way. It also doesn't appear when OPT is started maximized.
Greets

Yeah, i've hear that one before, but it's pretty hard to figure out without running win7 x64.Strainer wrote:I have encountered another problem:
