OPT Server Thread

Hi

Was just typing up a reply to a question about user accounts on the server, then the topic went bye-bye somehow. hmmm.

We can use this thread for questions about the server.
Please do not ask about configuring firewalls and opening ports here.

FYI: The new server will have quite some changes, so writing a guide right now would be pointless.

I think it would be useful to have a list of working servers here, things like this should be centralized, more or less.
By the way, actually tried out to play yesterday. Good job! Playing match was smooth and comfy.

I agree, the current server has a command, one that gives back the server settings. With this I can create a bot that scans a list of known public servers and outputs this to a page somewhere. I might get around to that after a course this week, so starting about 10th of jan.

as of 0.99t pre-release, i'm still getting "socket error # 10061 Connection Refused." when trying to connect to opt.magic-league.com:3000

though i can connect to your server, jorbes.

seems nico isn't running his server.
even if he was, he's probably not running the latest version required for 0.99t

mine will stay up, more will eventually come.

i couldn't connect to the server on 0.99r either. i get the same message. =,(

it's the same server, it's just not running.
i don't control what people from ML do.

yeah, i figured that. i just didn't know if it was a problem on my end. but if the server is down, that explains it. ^_^

I kinda forgot about the settings for the server after moving the site to our new host, and indeed i am running an old version. I will update the server later this week, and the url to use will be games.magic-league.com.you can get on there but it will be the old version still.
