1.2 Bugs

Postby rjp14 » 25 Feb 2011, 14:40

Figured I'd start a thread for any bugs encountered with version 1.2.

So far I found that some of the "tip of the day" have issues. Some of them are displaying the code used to create them. I believe this happens in 2 different instances. The pricing scripts and request a feature. Both have hyperlinks. This may be the issue.

If I find anything else I will let you know.

Also great work on the updater. It worked as expected when I moved it into my current MA folder. Keep up the great work.

Don't know if it's a bug or not but, when I search something using 'Quick Search' field and then press Tab to go to the inventory/database field, to try and scroll through the cards starting from the searched one, I always go to the beginning of the list.

Magic Album 1.2 Discussion

Postby Goblin Hero » 11 Mar 2011, 09:28

I have idea of creating separate sticked topic for each MA version. These topics are for bug reports, features discussion and latest news from me.
Some news: Feature currently in development is deck sorting/quick searching.

1.2.1.112

Postby Goblin Hero » 11 Mar 2011, 16:59

MA is updated. Only deck editor was affected:
1. Deck Editor now has two toolbars. Toolbars are not static - you can dock them as you like.
2. I've added hotkeys for several tollbars buttons (hover mouse pointer over buttons to view hotkeys). Warning! Global hotkeys (View->Toolbars->Customize) have higher priority than local deck editor hotkeys.
3. Quick search for deck editor. Just start typing or press TAB to switch to search field. Quick search works regardless of card sorting.
Some thoughts about deck sorting. Now deck is splitted into 5 groups: nontraditional, lands, creatures, spells and sb. I can sort each group individually, but is it enough??? I have an idea of have an ability to disable main deck groups - this way deck will be splitted into only 3 groups: nontraditional, mb and sb. Your ideas?

The ability to enable/disable the main deck groups sounds good, especially when adding the ability to sort by the column headings (this is what you mean by deck sorting, right?)

However, I think the ability to order the deck however you want to (currently achieved via the Move Card Up/Down buttons) is also important. So, say I want to sort by mana cost to get an idea of the mana curve, I assume I'd click the Cost column. But I would want a way to revert to my custom order afterwards instead of having to re-sort it manually using Move Card Up/Down. Perhaps a Custom Sort button. My idea is that the deck would always be saved with the custom sorting order, because you can easily re-sort by column headings once you open it again.

1. Now you can use Ctrl+Tab hotkey to switch between panes.
2. Masterbase/Inventory quick search fields are now located inside toolbars.
3. Ctrl+S/N/O hotkeys for inventory.

When I click on Notes in Inventory - if something was written there it is deleted. I think this is not right behaviour. So you can accidentally delete it.

Agreed. The same thing happens when clicking fields in the quantity and buy columns. It would be better if when you clicked the fields, the contents would become highlighted. That way if you wanted to change it, you could enter something and the old value would be automatically deleted, but if you clicked the field by accident, it wouldn't be deleted.

MA is updated.
1. Now you can use quotes in text fields during card filtering. Text inside quotes will be searched as is. Example "draw a card" will return all cards with the exact string.
2. GER 5th Edition and Starter 2000
