Hello guys, i have very often crashes within MAGE.

I also recognized that the startclient.bat and the startserver.bat are not 64bit compatible. The path to jre6 on x64 system is there:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6". I changed the pathes on both batchfiles and now i can start MAGE.

I am running Win7 64bit Java 6 Update 24 and running Mage 0.7.1.
Sometimes i can play mage without problems, sometimes mage crashes with an Java error. I will post the exact error on my next post.

Does anyone else having crash problems ?

Not sure if anyone has noticed but in v0.7.1:
"Knight Exemplar" is making itself indestructible which shouldn't happen
"Deathmark" seems to not function at all

A couple more issues with the rules enforcement:

"Lorescale Coatl": On the 3rd turn out it gets +2/+2 from one card draw, turn 4 gets +4/+4, turn 5 gets +8/+8.

"Wall of Denial" can block "Black Knight". I'm guessing shroud is overruling protection from white.

Hi guys, trying to run Mage on a Mac, having major problems though :(

Initially I couldn't have the server run; I fixed it by changing the designated port on the config.xml file. Now, even though the server runs apparently fine and I'm able to connect to it through the client, I see absolutely no cards on the client! It's not accessing the card db for some reason and I couldn't figure out what to do to fix it. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, if you need a volunteer to test stuff on a Mac, I'd be very glad to help.

We would love to have someone testing on a Mac. Did you use the Images button on the toolbar to download card images? Are you seeing any cards in the Collection Viewer? How about the Deck Editor? Also, what port did you use?

I used port 8080. I see no cards anywhere, collection viewer is empty and loading decks on the deck editor does nothing. Perhaps I should try new ports. Can't do it right now, but I'll try it later today. (update: tried 80, doesn't work; tried 65535, same thing as 8080)

I tried starting a new game with a generated deck, and got the following error message:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Not enough cards to generate deck.

I downloaded some of the images, and it says I'm done with the downloading; but checking the client/plugins/images folder, I was only able to find the images for the sets, the symbols, and the tokens. I think it only downloaded around 100 images. It says there's nothing else to download though. Perhaps that's related to the problem too.

I don't think a different port will make a difference. Port 8080 is usually used for web development but that shouldn't be a problem for local usage.

Just to be through, there should be two buttons on the toolbar for downloading images, one for set and mana symbols labeled "Symbols" and one for card images labeled "Images". When you click on the Images button you should get a dialog box that states the number of card images remaining to download. What number do you see?

I know, I've clicked the buttons, I've clicked all buttons ): It says I have 0 images to download. Perhaps I'm missing something on the .command startup? I just copied and pasted the -java stuff from the .bat; all I did was have it run the .jar. Do I have to do something other than that?

That is strange. In the server's lib folder do you see a jar called Mage-Sets-0.7.jar? Do you see any error messages in the server console?

It's there. No errors in the console.

Could I be missing something in the .jar startup?

The problem with Knight Exemplar (no "Not me" filter) also exists for abilities like Battle Cry, I think (this is just based off a code scan, I haven't tested it yet).

"Redirect"ing a "Lightning Bolt" ends the game and displays a "server error" message box. Happened to me twice against human and computer opponent.
