There was an issue that slipped in regarding Auras not properly "falling off" cards once they were removed that has been reported, recognized, and fixed for the next release.Bundy wrote:Computer enchanted my creature with Sleeping Potion. After it was removed my creature is still enchanted by Sleeping Potion and does not untap.

I believe that was fixed last week and is now included in the SVN.

I have not noticed any report of this bug, but please ignore this if I just missed it.
With the latest version of forge (less than a week old), I have found that "It That Betrays" doesn't seem to work properly. I'm using it in an Oath deck, and when I attack, the opponent sacs two permanents, but only one of them comes to me.

Wall of Wonder (7th Edition) is a rare, and the "pic" to the side shows it's a rare (through gold coloring of the edition label) but the card is listed as uncommon in deck builders and the card shop.
Also, even though Gelatinous Genesis is a rare and shows up everywhere as a rare, when you sort cards and Gelatinous Genesis is in the list, it shows up among the uncommons.
The quest's Bazaar has some odds idiosyncrasies with the pricing. This is especially strange because older versions didn't have these problems, but now when you buy most of the upgrades the costs don't go up and the "what you currently have" description isn't getting updated - but it does upgrade in practice.
5-17 beta is very nice overall. Great job, guys.

- Computer cast Pulling Teeth and lost the clash, but I discarded 0 cards.
- Merrow Reejerey does not consistently trigger when I cast merfolk spells.
- I cast Wanderwine Prophets with only Merrow Reejerey on the battlefield. I selected the Merrow Reejerey to be championed, but instead I was asked to tap / untap it. Bottom line, I kept both the Merrow Reejerey and the Wanderwine Prophets on the battlefield.
Perish the Thought text is squirrelly. The card says "Target opponent reveals his or her hand. You choose a card from it. That player shuffle that card in their library." The description window says "Target opponent reveals his or her hand. You choose a nonland card from it and exile that card." The stack description says "1. Perish the Thought - Put 1 Card card(s) from your hand on top of your library."
- Computer targets its own creature with Rage Nimbus (legal, but worthless). The stack description is a hoot, though: "1. Rage Nimbus - Beastbreaker of Bala Ged gains HIDDEN CARDNAME attacks each turn if able, until end of turn."
- Drowner Initiate triggers inconsistently (sometimes it triggers on a blue spell and sometimes not). It may be related to me also having a Painter's Servant in play (naming "blue") -- all of the computer's spells seem to trigger the Drowner Initiate but my really blue spells did not.
- Computer plays elementals with evoke poorly. I've seen it evoke AEthersnipe (okay, it was able to target itself), Briarhorn (ditto), Glarewielder (I had no defenders and it had no attacking creatures anyway), Ingot Chewer (no artifacts on the battlefield), Inner-Flame Acolyte (the computer will almost always cast this for its first spell of the game), Offalsnout (when my graveyard is empty), Shriekmaw (when I had no creatures, or worse yet when the computer controlled the only non-black creatures), and Wispmare (when there were no enchantments on the battlefield).
NOTE: While I'm unable to play the quest anymore, the draft more than makes up for it -- it's an absolute blast! These bugs are typically minor things I see as I play with cards I haven't really used in Forge before. I've done block drafts with Time Spiral / Planar Chaos / Future Sight (good but the later blocks were better), Lorwyn/Morningtide (Fantastic! So much fun, I did it twice), Shadowmoor/Eventide (I took full advantage of the fact that enchantments can't really be removed
), and Rise of the Eldrazi (very fun, but the totem enchantments are ba-roken right now).

A couple more bugs...
Angelic Benediction says "may tap target creature" but there is no current option to cancel, so you're forced to tap your own if nothing else :p
A big one (!) - life gain from lifelink happens at the same time as damage (because it's a static ability rather than triggered), and this can cause some strategic problems with game play that shouldn't be an issue. This may just be a problem with Forge's age, as at one time this was a triggered ability.

Card sets is a recent addition to forge and is a work in progress.
I corrected the rarity for Gelatinous Genesis. Thank you.

What's the problem? Lifelink doesn't use the stack. What have you noticed that doesn't do that?Starcrash wrote:A big one (!) - life gain from lifelink happens at the same time as damage (because it's a static ability rather than triggered), and this can cause some strategic problems with game play that shouldn't be an issue. This is now fixed, unfortunately this still needs more work as the AI activates the Rage Nimbus ability during it's own turn.

i can't explain this one. the computer played a Gaea's Cradle first turn, and with no other cards on it's side of the field used it to play a llanowar elf. was it because i had 1 creature? does Gaea's Cradle automatically count the human player's creatures?

In the 05-17 beta, Mirari is no longer a Legendary Artifact.
Similarly, Shield of Kaldra is missing the Legendary super-class. Easy enough to fix on my local copy but thought I'd mention it so they can be changed for the next beta.
Thanks for all the amazing work you guys have put in to make Forge as great as it is!

The AI doesn't use Mana the way the Human uses it. It assumes some things about Mana Abilities that aren't true for all non-basic land. This will remain true until one of the devs provides the AI with a mana pool and rewrites all of that specific code (which is a lot of code). Therefore, Gaea's Cradle shouldn't be used in an AIs deck, since it cheats while using it.s1886x wrote:i can't explain this one. the computer played a Gaea's Cradle first turn, and with no other cards on it's side of the field used it to play a llanowar elf. was it because i had 1 creature? does gaea's cradle automatically count the human player's creatures?

The problem is when the game detects a victory/loss. For instance, if you are at 3 life and attacked by 3 Grizzly Bear 2/2s... if you block one of the Grizzly Bears with a Vampire Nighthawk 2/3 lifelinker, that shouldn't end the game (You lose 4 life from the 2 unblocked but gain 2 life, for a net total of 2 life lost). This doesn't happen, though... the game finds that your life total went too low for a moment and decides that you lost.friarsol wrote:What's the problem? Lifelink doesn't use the stack.
