OPTServer does not work
by cc-drake » 10 Jul 2011, 08:34
Hi there,
I just got OPT Server 0.6.5 and tried to run OPTServerGUI.exe.
Unfortunately, I get an error, application could not be initialized (0xc0000135). Is there any workaround?

Did you unpack the zip first?
Seems like an error where the program is unable to find some dll's.
Mostly caused by running the program directly from the zip.
If not, please reply so we can identify the problem.
Thanks.

Of course I unzipped the complete archive. It contained OPTServerGUI.exe, 15 dll's and a data folder.
Meanwhile, I redownloaded the server application, but again I get the same error.
I use WinXP, if that matters.

Oh ok.
Maybe you don't have enough rights to open ports on your windows account?
Also check this page;

Could just be that you don't have .net framework installed, which is odd, because 2.0 comes with any version of XP i can remember
