New in-game bug reporter...

Postby timmermac » 29 Aug 2011, 01:11

Can someone tell me what the expected behavior is for the bug reporter as of r9920? For me, after clicking report on the screen, my entire screen turned green, and I had to end javaw.exe, since it didn't do anything for several minutes.

that's definitely not it.

it opens a window that's a little smaller than the main forge window. it has some dropdown, text boxes, and short text input fields. and two buttons, Report and Cancel.

It's after I click the report button in that little window that my screen goes green.

Wow.. green screen of death? Who built your computer Industrial Light and Magic?

Were you trying to use the Report Anonymous feature or your actual Mantis account? There was a bug in there with a recent update to include the Steps to Reproduce field, which I then fixed.

Anonymous. I just created a Mantis account after that happened. The only reason the screen went green is because I have Forge's Display Settings at Emerald Dusk, or whatever the green one's called.

I tried to report a bug using this yesterday but the first time I got an error message that it didn't like the revision number I entered (r10027). I hit the browser back button, fixed the number and submitted it again.
My entire screen turned grey. I waited awhile but after nothing happened I hit ESC and the crash window reappeared. I then checked Mantis and found that the bug had actually been reported, but the revision info was blank.

I used my Mantis login to report this.
