Forge version 1.2.3
by Chris H. » 20 Jan 2012, 12:44
Starting a next version thread.
I believe that the plan for this version is to celebrate the 10,000 card milestone and that we will move the DKA cards over to the main trunk and these cards will then become available to the user base.

I believe that the plans are to merge the DKS branch into the trunk once the setinfo and oracle scripts can be run.
Thee are a few areas in the project that need to be updated to handle DKA data. The deck editor set filter for example. I guess we should try to make sure as much of this is up to date before the next beta release.
Card pictures always take some additional time to appear on WotC and cardforge. No need to wait for the pictures to come online. There are always a few people who ask about the pics and we just tell them to be patient.

Oh, so soon-ish? I'll get those bugs fixed tonight!
Guess my main dish will have to be served up in the next course (release).

I think after we have a Dark Ascension release, we'll have a longer coding block for the next release. You know how rabid everyone gets when new releases are right around the corner..

I do not mind giving you some time to merge in your "big job" for the next release.

Same here. I don't foresee a release before Friday at the earliest (based on oracle/setinfo things mentioned).Chris H. wrote:`Doublestrike wrote:Oh, so soon-ish? I'll get those bugs fixed tonight!

@Chris - unfortunately this big job is getting a little crazy, it keeps mutating by little bits and now it's a monster.
So, it's looking like Sunday I'll be able to commit, but it's gotten to a point where it might affect the stability of the release if not fully tested. So, it may be best if this work is in the next one.

Understood, no problem.
Not sure if we will be able to get all of the DKA stuff into the SVN and to then release a beta before Sunday. I'm thinking that Monday might be the earliest.

Well 1.2.2 just came out, I'm glad waiting a while until the dust settles.
Now let me hide before the other fans kill me.

Well my internet is off, for a few weeks, as of Monday. I play forge everyday. I'm dying to get my hands on the new cards before I relocate, as it will give something to do in my downtime.lugaru wrote:Well 1.2.2 just came out, I'm glad waiting a while until the dust settles.

Just grab the latest daily build. The DKA cards have been merged into the main trunk now so you won't miss much except for bug fixes. (The link to the snapshot build is in the DKA spoiler thread if you need it)otherright wrote:Well my internet is off, for a few weeks, as of Monday. I play forge everyday. I am considering releasing the upcoming version 1.2.3 beta on Monday. This will give us the weekend to hopefully add in the set info for DKA into the code base. I did a couple of quick checks and from what I can tell it looks like this is now complete.
I guess that Doublestrike will want to tame and add his "Monster" job into the code base after the upcoming version 1.2.3 beta release.
Does Monday look good for everyone? Does anyone need more time before the next release?

We added the new DKA cards into the code base yesterday. Here are a couple of links to today's snapshot build. Enjoy the new DKA cards during your downtime.
