Innistrad + Dark Ascension Double Faced Card Fix

Hi guys,

i created an image pack, which contain all 33(/66) Double Faced Cards of Innistrad and Dark Ascension as split cards. This image will not replace the other HQ pics, but let you MWS masterbase (the Golbinhero one) shows the split-cards instead of nothing.

Well, I have checked all the Tips & Tricks Cards (http://www.abugames.com/set137/Buy-Tips ... -Sale.html) and all the Tokens (http://www.abugames.com/set72/Buy-Token ... -Sale.html) and... (un)surprisingly we have all of them Also I haven't found any known card being missed on abugames, so it looks like a very reliable source.

Though it completely misses tips cards for three sets:

- Lorwyn
- Conflux
- Dark Ascension

So, I have verified the backs for those sets only using tokens.

I hope that at least Dark Ascension tips will be added soon and we will be able to verify tips fronts too.

I also started to do this but stopped when someone else posted something seeming like this was already done. The other side-by-side setup I did was have the card images beside one another only flipped thinking maybe someone was using the images for some type of game play and being able to determine which card was the active side. If anyone is interested in them let me know and I can upload them some were.

Well, I'm willing to go out and buy a really good scanner but need some advice and help choosing a good one that will work for the foils. Money is not an issue and I've got the cards waiting to be scanned (along with a few other needed promos).

A swift search of Canon, HP and Epson - which I think are the best scanner brands - reveals an interesting thing: pretty much all canons and epsons nowadays are LED and HP doesn't say anything about the light source. That is worrying. HOwever, there is another thing: some of them (the more expensive ones) have a "white led" lightsouce. I don't know if the LED scanners that give that awful color banding have white leds or an array of RGB ones. White leds might be good. Is there any way to test a little before you buy ?

HP - ScanJet G4010 looks very interesting. It also has a scratch/dust detector via an infrared lamp which might prove amazing.
According to this, it's a cold cathode model, so it's what we're after. I hope they're right.

Btw, as a test I've scanned a flat piece of a mirror and it doesn't get any color banding. It's something very specific to the foil layer of MTG cards that causes it, in conjunction with the LED scanners.

By the way, does anybody have card backs of Collector's Edition and International Collector's Edition? Just one more little "hole"

P.S. The cards in Collector's Edition archive looks not really appropriate because of visible round corners (Collector's Edition has square corners). As far as I remember those scans are from Collector's Edition indeed, probably the round corners were added to make the cards look like Beta edition. Anyway, the pictures themselves should be identical to Beta edition
