I updated my local copy to rev 14193 and discovered a problem uder Mac OS X Snow Leopard that does not appear under Mac OS X Lion.
I spend most of my time booted into Mac OS X Lion and forge will start up OK.
I boot into Mac OS X Snow Leopard to run the snapshot and beta builds and releases. I ran forge from Eclipse while booted under Mac OS X Snow Leopard and got the following crash report:

I think that Dave mentioned that he upgraded to Lion a couple of months ago.
Are you still using Snow Leopard Slapshot or have you also updated to Lion?

Are you able to run forge from within Eclipse while using rev 14193?
Just curious.
We have had a couple of bug reports come in the last couple of days that occur while starting up and I wonder if what I saw under Snow Leopard is being caused by a similar bug.

I booted back into Lion and ran forge from Eclipse and I now get the same crash report. In fact, there is a second crash report hidden underneath:

I updated my local copy to rev 14248 and the project will build and run from within Eclipse. When I run the Maven command to do a snapshot build and release from the terminal app I get an error during the tests and this creates a BUILD FAILURE and we do not get a release.

Yeah, I've made some changes to FModel and GameState so the unit tests are invalid. I thought I commented out the critical parts for when they're ready for a rewrite? but I guess not.
I'm not sure how to proceed on this, I reckon we could delete now and retrieve/rewrite later if it's interesting....maybe.

Yeah, I too am not sure how to proceed.
Do the surefire-reports for the individual test results provide any hints?

As a quick and dirty solution, I disabled the tests. The build works now, but the tests should be fixed.
