Question on game mechanic
by abyssaldesignatorify » 08 Jun 2012, 01:17
Hello, I am new to forge and mtg. I must say I am impressed with this game. A couple of question on the game mechanic.
I used Memory Plunder on Mark of Mutiny in the opponent's graveyard to target one of his creature. That creature gets a counter but does not switch controller at all. Is this a bug or intentional?
Secondly I noticed the AI uses Green Ward on Spectral Lynx. What is the point of this? Is this intentional?

Your first question belongs into the beta topic (where bugs should be reported). Your second question in the "Card AI (Improvements) Requests" topic.
That said both have been fixed. Thanks abyssaldesignatorify.

You should definitely have gained control of the creature. I'm guessing the activating player isn't being set correctly when using the play.abyssaldesignatorify wrote:Hello, I am new to forge and mtg. I must say I am impressed with this game. A couple of question on the game mechanic.

Edit: Looks like Sloth beat me to it.

Ok sorry.
I'm new to magic so I'm not very sure of the rules. Btw, great game. Sometimes I cannot buy certain stuff from the bazaar despite having enough money, the buy button is greyed out. I'm not even sure if this is a bug or intentional (random shop items). Also, where can I find the card list of available cards in forge? Thanks.

When you can't buy something at the Bazaar, try exiting Forge and restarting it. That usually works for me. And yes, I think it is a bug.
In the forge/res/cardsfolder folder is a zip file which contains sub-folders for each letter of the alphabet. In each of those folders is a file for every card with the card name as the name of the file. (The files themselves contain much, but not all of the scripting for how that card works in the game.)

Otherwise go to the constructed mode deck editor via Tools>Deck Editor. That shows all the cards currently implemented.
