Maybe, when I'm not up to my neck in compiling artwork and the Manalink.xls, I might get round to finishing mine. 8-[

The more choices we have, the better. I like also your dark theme as it's a given rest for the eyes

It is much cleaner than before... no doubt! What about changing some button graphic? Keeping "8th edition" sounds not enough to me, since that button holds the whole sets list now.

If you look closely, all the buttons have been changed - and the ability and counter symbols. I've even replaced the dual strips, but they're not shown in the pic.
Although, you're right - I'll have to do something about that "8th edition" button in the Deck Builder. Considering what Gargaroz and I have planned for the updated Expansion filter.

Opps! that's let the cat out of the bag.

Problems with Momir Basic

Postby maninho » 24 Jun 2012, 16:16

Hello, there.

I am new here at the forum and registered to find some help regarding a problem with the Momir Basic, that is necessary to complete a challenge.

I installed the Mana Link about one year ago and everything worked fine but I always had this issue with Momir Basic... Mana Link simply freezes usually during my 3rd round and I have to close the program. I decided to try a fresh installation (Gargaroz's MagicGCV archive plus the updates on this topic) but I still have the same problem.

During this fresh installation, I was not able to copy a file named DraftSets because there is a folder with the same name. I wonder if I should delet that folder in favor of the file or not.

Another question: where are the challenges I already completed stored? If I continue with this fresh installation (that has less files than the previous one), it would be good if I could save the challenges already achieved. And I know it is not permitted to post hacks here on the forum to unlock the challenges, but I will be forced to asked something like that if the Momir Basic keeps not working.

English is not my native language, so please forgive any errors.

Thanks in advance, and thanks for the Mana Link! =D> It was nice to have the Avacyn set so quickly.

You should install in a new folder CirothUngol version which is the most up to date.

The issue with DraftSets is it's a file with no extension which is not acceptable for windows and the archive software and make them think it's a folder instead. This file contain a list of card for draft, if you want to put it in your Magic folder just extract it anywhere else but in the Magic folder, then put it in. Else this is not an important file to run ML3.

Challenges completion is stored in the Faces folder, just copy this folder from your old to your new Magic folder.

I already tried CirothUngol version before but just downloaded it again to try it out... I thought it was ready to play but this version does not show the name of the cards and some of the pictures, most like the screenshot from the 3rd question of the forum FAQ: viewtopic.php?f=55&t=1697.

I wonder if it would be needed to follow those instructions and run the Compatibility Tool... that post if from 2009 and as I said, CirothUngol version is supposed to completed.

Thanks for your help.

I did after your advice and Mana Link is working now, thanks! I just remembered a similar problem with Gargaroz version when I installed it last year, that caused cards with no text like basic lands and Savannah Lion to not appear at the deck construction.

I played a best of 3 Momir Basic to the end before this reply; it didn't froze, but I was able to draw and play a Mortarpod and an Explorer's Scope during one of the games, something that shouldn't happen.
