You're right - the Scythe could be a pretty good addition...
I build my deck around Phyrexian Obliterator and thought about fitting creatures/equip. That's why I didn't thought about adding the scythe to the deathtouch deck ....

I'm thining about a spirit/arcane deck. Maybe I will create one. Is there any need for such a deck? While I am at it, does the AI know how Splicing on Arcane works?

There is a UBG spirit arcane deck (Totoro) and a UW spirit deck (Raven). Another arcane deck can't hurt (and including red would be nice to cover all colors).

The AI can use Splice onto Arcane, but will not "hold back" spells to splice on or onto. So it will likely not suffice for a hard opponent.

With spirit I was refering to a Kami deck. Never saw a deck using soulshift, anyway ;)

I think the Totoro deck has a lot of Soulshift spirits.

Another thing: If you want to make use of Splice onto Arcane, Evermind might be a good card to start from, since the AI can't waste it without splicing.

Other good Arcane cards: Kodama's Reach, Wear Away, Glacial Ray, Ire of Kaminari, Lava Spike, Consuming Vortex, Murmurs from Beyond, Horobi's Whisper, Rend Flesh, Spiritual Visit, Terashi's Grasp, Terashi's Verdict.

I don't know what you could take, though.
I've added the Honden deck as InuYasha 1. At least the series has a japanese setting (Unlike Avatar).

I'd love to see an AI deck based around Jokulhaups.

Some cards that would be good in it:

Nihilith
Rukh Egg
Lurking Skirge
Subversion

A planeswalker (probably Liliana or Chandra)

I can build a sample deck of it based off one of my old RB Jokulhaups decks for a baseline, if that's preferred.

Yes, an example deck would be preferable.
I think another good card for it would be Avatar of Woe - and maybe Harvester of Souls (though this one would only serve to gain some cards after the activation of Jokulhaups)
What I really want to know - how should he get mana? By using Darksteel Citadel / Darksteel Ingot?
Indestructible Creatures (Darksteel Myr to block, Darksteel Plate) should be included, too, though.
All in all, it won't be a strongdeck from what I see. But I may have missed a great deal of cards who have a synergy with this deck.
EDIT: Another good card should be Liability. A lot of cards will go to the enemies graveyard, and since its an enchantment, it won't get destroyed. Another possibility would be one Mortal Combat, though I doubt that enough creatures will be killed
EDIT2: Another addition could be Black Market.... That could supply some of the mana, anyway

Hm. Do we have a shadow deck?

Another idea I had was building a deck around Brand and the Vows. Then inlcuding creatures like Treacherous Pit-Dweller and cards like Political Trickery, Vedalken Plotter, Switcheroo, Phyrexian Infiltrator, Avarice Totem and similar...

Not yet, but Dauthi Warlord and Stronghold Overseer are reason enough to build a deck around Shadow.

Sounds very complicated for an AI deck, but feel free to try.

Here's a wuick Shadow deck. I guess it can be further improved, yet I thought it could be used as a base and or as a quest deck.
Code: Select all
2 Dauthi Cutthroat
2 Dauthi Ghoul
3 Dauthi Horror
4 Dauthi Marauder
1 Dauthi Mindripper
4 Dauthi Slayer
4 Dauthi Warlord
1 Mox Jet
1 Necromantic Thirst
4 Nether Traitor
1 No Mercy
4 Shade's Form
23 Snow-Covered Swamp
4 Stronghold Overseer
2 Wall of Souls
For the Brand deck, I thought about including Isochron Scepter. My only concern is - is the AI able to 'see' if he has the required card in his hand? And will it play the scepter instead of Brand?
EDIT: The Brand deck is far too complicated fr the AI. He wouldn't know how to use Brand, and thus making it completely redundant.
Another note - could it be that Vedalken Plotter doesn't work?

Nice list. I guess it will be a hard deck. As a name i would suggest "The Shade". D’accord?

I thought as much.

Maybe the AI can't use him, but he works for me.

The Shade sounds alright.
Another decktype could be a complete control deck, U B, with 'vows'.
With control I mean solely creature control spells like Mind Control and similar. I yet have to encounter such an annoying deck :P

Another note - do we have an U B Faerie deck?

Here is a quick B rogue faerie -themed deck.
NOTE: I am thinking about removing the Nectar Faerie, even though the deck needs life (constant life lost via Bitterblossom), it is neither a Rogue, nor does the AI know how to use it. He would tap it to give a creature lifelink, instead of playing creature cards. He wouldn't even attack with the creature.

I think this deck is very similar to the UB Rogue deck Owlman 2. Maybe this can become the hard version Owlman 3? Adding blue is optional as it doesn't add much (but Invisible Stalker is powerful).
