Describe the Bug:
When countering a spell with an X in its cost (Fireball, for example), Mana Drain only drains one colorless mana instead of the full converted mana cost of the countered spell.
Which card did behave improperly ?

Which update are you using?(date,name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
Spetember update V2, noticed the bug in Duel and Gauntlet
What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Mana Drain's caster should be given an amount of mana equal to the converted mana cost of the countered spell.

Fixed, although it won't work in the 100% cases (cards with XX in the casting cost or card with "pay X target X" won't be correctly recognized).

this is still bugged as when i get the ai to cast drain life for 2 life i should get 4 mana and i always get 2. it dosent count the x
can I maze of ith your snowstorm?

Drain Life is another special case as it only charges B for the X cost.

Gargaroz - so does that mean that this instance is unfixable, or just that it hasn't been fixed yet?

It's a bit problematic to fix this, since it requires setting a lot of "special cases".

Maybe store the amount during EVENT_CAN_CAST, like Spell Blast does? x_value from the previous spell is still correct then.

Fixed interaction with Drain Life in d633a6e. Please close this and report other cases separately and specifically (after the next patch, which changes how they're detected somewhat).
