MTG Historical decks AI friendly

This is a new compilation I made of MTG historical decks in constructed format using internet researching. This time most of the decks are AI friendly that means AI is able to play decently. Now there are more aggro decks and I have removed some decks that AI is not able to handle properly. This means that the decks you will find now are not the best of their respective tournaments, they are simply AI playable. If you want these missing decks please download my previous release but keep in mind they are not AI friendly and goes to 1999 only.

The decks are divided in 3 periods:

OldSchool 93-94: Contains 70 decks of 1994 World Championship Tournament and 93-94 format.

MTG 1996-1999: Contains 100 decks from 1996 to 1999 of World Championships, Pro Tours and National Tournaments (mainly of US).

MTG 2000-2002: Contains 100 decks from 2000 to 2002 of World Championships, Pro Tours and National Tournaments.

What I did: I have 4 copies of my Manalink folder with Fate Reforged patched, each folder contains the respective historical period: 93-94; 1996-1999; 2000-2002 and currently I am working on MTG in modern times (2004 to currently). By this way I am able to play in any period of time following the rules of their respective periods and playing only against those decks. Therefore everything is more organized :D.

Issues:

1- Oldschool 93-94: I don´t know if Chaos Orb works. Anyway is a restricted card according to 93-94 format and it is forbidden to have more than a copy and costs 1 so It is a small incident, only a fail between 60 cards.

2- 1996-1999; 2000-2002: Some cards have been sustituted by sideboard ones or similar ones of those times because they are missing in Manalink, usually no more than 5 or 6 in the worst case and respecting the deck phylosophy.

3- Sorry for my bad english.

If you find a deck AI is not able to handle properly please let me know.

Enjoy!

MTG Historical decks AI friendly v2

This is a new compilation I made of MTG historical decks, mainly tournaments: Worlds, States, Nationals, PT, PTQ, ... in constructed format using internet researching. Most of the decks are AI friendly that means AI is able to play decently. I made some changes in respect of 1993-1994, 1996-1999 and 2000-... so I recommend to download again. In addition, I expanded historical decks to 2014. In summary, the contents:

MTG 1993-1994: This compilation includes 70 decks from 93/94 format, some of the previous ones have been removed and substituted by others due to crashes experienced with White Wheenies. Advise: Some decks are really strong and could be frustrating to play against.

MTG 1996-1999: This compilation includes 100 decks from 1996-1999. Only one deck has been updated due to a mistake in some cards.

MTG 2000-2006: This compilation now includes 200 decks. I added decks from 2000 to 2006, standard and extended.

MTG 2007-2011: This compilation includes 300 decks from 2007-2011. Standard and extended.

2012-2014:

MTG 2012-2014 Legacy: This compilation includes 100 decks from 2012-2014 in Legacy Format.

MTG 2012-2014 Standard: This compilation includes 200 decks from 2012-2014 in Standard Format.

MTG 2012-2014 Modern: This compilation includes 160 decks from 2012-2014 in Modern Format.

MTG 2012-2014 Vintage: This compilation includes 100 decks from 2012-2014 in Vintage Format.

MTG Historical decks AI friendly v3 (Optional)

This is a new compilation I made of MTG historical decks, mainly tournaments: Worlds, States, Nationals, PT, PTQ, ... in constructed format using internet researching. Since I play Manalink 3.0 by timelines, I compiled decks by periods of 2 and 3 years so in respect of previous releases I added decks from 1995-1996 years and more decks of 1997-1999, 2000-2001, 2002-2003, ... If you want to go further with historical decks, this compilations are more detailed than previous ones.

In summary, the contents:

MTG 1995-1996: This compilation includes 70 decks from 1995-1996. I used internet researching and books. I added T1 and T2 decks. Personally I think T1 are overpowered in respect of T2, I leave at your choice to remove them.

MTG 1997-1999: This compilation includes 100 decks from 1997-1999.

MTG 2000-2001: This compilation includes 100 decks from 2000-2001.

MTG 2002-2003: This compilation includes 100 decks from 2002-2003.

MTG 2004-2006: This compilation includes 100 decks from 2004-2006.

MTG 2007-2009: This compilation includes 200 decks from 2007-2009.

MTG 2010-2011: This compilation includes 100 decks from 2010-2011.

MTG 1993-1994 and 2012-2014 remains as previous releases.

Issues: Unfortunately some amazing cards could not have been included since they are not available in Manalink 3.0. Some of this cards are: Orcish Librarian, Skred, Snow Lands, Suq'ata firewalker, Renewed Faith, Circular Logic, Orcish Cannoneers (this one is the same as O. Artillery), Fireslinger, Final Fortune, Kaerverk´s Torch, Wizard´s School, Lodestone Bauble, Abduction among others.

I have fixed MTG 1995-1996. I realized that AI uses incorrectly Zuran Orb and sacrifices too many lands that is not able to play anything. For this reason, I decided to remove every Zuran Orb of every deck that contained it and I substituted them by another sideboard card/s. In addition, I have restricted Winter Orb to 1 per deck since when AI cast more than one, as a result, more than one land is untapped each turn. So, I substituted remaining Winter Orb by other cards contained in sideboards. Moreover, some decks have been removed and substituted by others due to poor performance against AI.

I have noticed that AI is really good with White Weenies and Sligh decks. I tried to add as many as possible but the problem is the lack of sources to find those decks. If you could help me adding more of this kind of decks (or other aggro deck focused on creature damage, but not necropotence decks please) I would appreciate It. You could help me via P.M or in the same threat.

Thank you in advance.

The Ultimate Old School collection

Do you like Old School Magic? This is for you buddy. Decided to narrow down the tournament decks, I prepared a collection of decks by year. The idea is to develop a Magic The Gathering tournament environment, each year has his own rules, playing against exactly the same tournament decks you would have found in that times. How to do that? Well this is what I have done so far... I have a Manalink 3.0 portable folder for each year and also I have the same card art that cards of that time had in each year. It's huge time consuming and a lot of work but playing Manalink 3.0 with decks and cards of each year is priceless.

MTG Old School of Magic 1993-1994: Now contains 100 decks from 93-94 format.
Featuring decks: Erhnamgeddon, Erhnam Burn'em, BantamGeddon, The Deck, Mono Black, RUG

MTG 1995-1996 T1: 20 Type I decks from 1995-1996.
Featuring decks: White Weenie, Prison Orb, Zoo, Necro, Nether Void, ...

MTG 1996: 50 decks from 1996 (Type I not included).
Featuring decks: Ernhamggedon, Sligh, Necro, UW Control, RG Aggro, Jokulhaups, ...

MTG 1997: 80 decks from 1997 (Type I not included).
Featuring decks: Buried Alive, Sligh, Marogeddon, Pox, Stompy, Lauerpotence, Living Death, ...

MTG 1998: 80 decks from 1998 (Type I not included).
Featuring decks: Counter-Sliver, Hatred, Oath of Druids, Pox, Stompy, Suicide Black, Recurring-Survival

MTG 1999: 80 decks from 1999 (Type I not included).
Featuring decks: Tinker, Wildfire, MaroGeddon, R/U Academy, Mono Blue Control, Mono Green/Stompy, ...

MTG 2000: 80 decks from 2000 (Type I not included).
Featuring decks: Angry Hermit, Bargain, Rebels, Tinker, Fires, Mono Green, Ponza, Sligh, ...

T1 cards such as Black Lotus, Moxen, Sol Ring are only available for MTG Old School of Magic 1993-1994 and 1995-1996 T1. 99% of decks are AI friendly and expect strong competitive level (if you follow the rules in deck construction about card restriction for each year).

MTG Standard Collection 2012-2015

A new compilation of a total 400 decks from 2012 to 2015 in Standard format from tournaments. Tested almost all decks and are AI friendly, that means, AI uses them correctly and some of them are very competitive. Some cards missing had to be replaced, as an example: 2 Haven of the Spirit Dragon replaced by basic lands but usually no more than 2 cards per deck and some of them had been replaced by sideboard cards. You may find isolated errors in 2015 but still I didn't find any deck that crash to desktop. If you find a deck that crash to desktop, let me know and I will replace it. Finally, I decided to avoid decks that have not working cards such as Valorous Stance to make the experience more enjoyable. Hopefully one day we will have some key missing cards: Thunderbreak Regent, Jace, Vryn's Prodigy, Haven of the Spirit Dragon. Decks containing those cards has been avoided (except Haven of the Spirit Dragon, replaced by basic lands).

MTG 2012 Standard: Contains 100 decks of 2012 tournaments in Standard.
Featuring decks: Junk Rites, Bant Control, Jund Midrange/Control, 4C Control, American/UWr Midrange

MTG 2013 Standard: Contains 100 decks of 2013 tournaments in Standard.
Featuring decks: Monoblue Devotion, American Midrange/Control, Gruul Midrange, Junk Rites/Midrange, Bant Control

MTG 2014 Standard: Contains 100 decks of 2014 tournaments in Standard.
Featuring decks: Red Deck Wins, Mardu Midrange, Abzan Midrange, Jeskai Tempo, Sultai Whip, Esper Control, Golgari Constelation

MTG 2015 Standard: Contains 100 decks of 2015 tournaments in Standard.
Featuring decks: Abzan Control/Rally/Red/Blue, Bant Megamorph, Mardu Aggro/Midrange/Aristocrats, Esper Control/Dragons, Mono-Red Thopters, U/R Thopters, UB Aristocrats
