MTG Foreign Promo and Box Set Images

This wiki archives Foreign Magic: The Gathering Promo Pics. We've gathered >230 HQ card scans and >280 LQ preview images. Visit the Foreign Promo and Box Set Cards Thread to download the images, get updates, and to contribute. Box set cards will be added to the checklist soon.

Wizards of the Coast is printing promotional Magic: The Gathering cards in record high quantities and languages. Our own CCGHQ team maintains a very proactive English Promo and Box Set Cards Thread which tracks hundreds of cards. Magic Librarities presents an impressive collection of older foreign promos in high quality. MagicCards.info archives thousands of card scans in Low Quality, however their foreign promo scans are incomplete. Lets fill in the gaps as we continue the CCGHQ mission to scan every MTG Card ever printed in HQ!

Contributing

If you would like to post images / suggest updates / identify errors or if you edit this wiki, please post your content in the Foreign Promo and Box Set Cards Thread. The editors of this wiki maintain it as plain HTML for convenience and convert it to Wiki source code for posting. As a result, wiki edits will be overwritten if they aren't posted.

• Scan: If you have a scanner and any near mint foreign promo marked "LQ" or "NO" in the checklist below, you may be able to contribute an HQ Image! We're pretty picky about quality, so be sure to read the Scanning How-To.
• Photograph: If you have a camera and any foreign promo marked "NO" in the checklist below, we need a photo of it.
• Search: If you have an internet connection you can also help by scouring the web for images that we're missing.

Foreign Image Search Tips

Foreign content on the WWW is not always easy to uncover. Lets run through a procedure using Wurmcoil Engine as an example. Start with the basics.

• Search "Wurmcoil Engine" at global.ebay.com. (Active listings only)
  
• Search "Wurmcoil Engine" at ebay.com; select "completed listings" in the left-hand menu

Since all foreign promos are printed in, well, a foreign language, it is often beneficial to search for images in that language. Search "Wurmcoil Engine" using Gatherer or MagicCards.info and locate its (i.e. French) name in their "languages" sections.

• Search "Machine guivrétreinte" using eBay France; ebay.fr (active and completed listings)
  
• Search "Machine guivrétreinte" using Google Images France; google.fr

Lastly, if you're having trouble saving an image, you may use either Windows 7's Snipping tool (Start Menu - Type "Snipping" - Press Enter) or Google Chrome's Developer tools to extract the image (Right Click - Inspect Element - Resources Tab - then locate the image in the left panel resource tree).

Image Sources

Images featured in our HQ Album have been scanned and processed by members of this community. These images are offered free to use as long as you give credit: "HQ Pics courtesy of the CCGHQ Team at SlightlyMagic.net".

Images featured in our LQ Album have been gathered from many English, foreign, casual, and business websites across the internet. This album is provided to document the existence of promotional cards in each language. Source website addresses are embedded in the image "Author" Metadata. To view this data on a Windows PC, save the image to your hard drive and right click it > Properties > Details Tab > Authors. These citations indicate where the images were found, although they may have originated elsewhere.
