Initial Settings

OPT is highly configurable. This is why you should take some time to get to know the Settings and this part of the tutorial should help you do exactly that.

First, we open the Settings.

As you can see, there are a lot of Settings you can tweak. The settings are pretty self-explanatory, so I will focus on the 2 pages I changed settings in.

Interface This is how my Interface page looks like:

As you can see, I set "DoubleClick Untap Step to Untap Permanents", "Double Click Draw Setp to Draw a Card" and both "Proceed to next step" as active. I changed these settings because I have played Magic Workstation (if you want, OPTs predecessor) for a long time, and got used to some of its play mechanics. With these 2 simple steps, OPT also features the classic MWS-like method for the beginning of your turn. (Double Click untap step to Untap all your permanents and proceed to Upkeep, Double Click Draw Step to draw a card and proceed to your first Main Phase.) I think this is the most convenient way of starting your turn (but again, I got used to this by years of playing MWS)

The second Settings page we will have to change settings in is Pictures.

Online Play Table fully supports Full HQ pictures of your favorite card games. All you have to do is setup your Pictures Path, and click Check Path. OPT will now scan through your folder and tell you how many pictures it found.
