Secrets on the way guys. I'm on the road, and I royally screwed up the sync folder. This sh*t gets confusing. But we'll sort it out I promise, so stay tuned.
In a day or so we'll get cooking again. And in the meantime I have MME to prepare for release, almost there.

HQ Pics Project Update
by Huggybaby » 08 Aug 2013, 06:01
Changes are coming. Two things haven't changed so far: how the zips are named, and the quality of the pics inside them.

HQs simply have a pure white or pure black half-border (the rounded corners are cropped off). XLHQs have a full card border with rounded corners and border texture (they're not just pure white or black). Extreme is adding the rounded corners to the XLHQ images. He automates that with photoshop.

It's time for another release, Modern Masters this time. Old cards, but some new art and new tokens.
deicidemilan started the discussion at viewtopic.php?f=15&t=8397.
Working on the new torrent has allowed me to see the forest instead of the trees, and I've made some changes to address inconsistencies. You'll get your first look with this release.
Up till now, Fulls always had a .full extension, e.g. Forest.full.jpg
Crops and XLHQs were always just .jpg. But no more.
Now we have
Forest.full.jpg
Forest.crop.jpg
Forest.xlhq.jpg
Notice that, now, all these cards can live in the same edition folder.
All your cards can live side by side, without fear of overwriting. This leaves it up to your software of choice to choose between them, the same way that MWS has always been able to choose between crops and fulls in the same folder. Software developers, please take note.
In the future we can add even more, for example, the tiny fun pics for low reolution/memory clients, and the high resolution I anticipate for 4K clients. Yes, 4K monitors can be bought today my friends.
All playable cards, like tokens and emblems, are now included in the fulls set, because they are in fact playable, and part of the set. They were separate in the past because of an old convention (the MWS TK folder) that no longer makes sense to me.
Tokens and emblems do not exist as crops, because they aren't really croppable.
How to handle emblems? I couldn't give them a suffix, like Elspeth, Knight-Errant.emblem.xlhq.jpg.
Then I might as well have done Forest.land.xlhq.jpg.
So I'm going to call them the way they are named, Emblem Elspeth, Knight-Errant.xlhq.jpg.
There are more changes too, for a hint you can see the notes to myself at viewtopic.php?f=15&t=11342.
And now, the samples...

Crops:
Token:
Emblem:
Insert:
XLHQ Fulls

CREDITS: Thanks to ark for most of the scans, randerscheinung and tcleary for the fills, and extreme for processing.

So skibulk reminds me that there are XLHQ crops as well. And my current naming scheme isn't going to cover them. Well that's a sticky wicket.

good idea huggy about the extensions, the thing is they were named that way to be used in mws.
About the borders, like skibulk said, plus for the early sets there are different sizes and different roundness for corners - for ex 6th has smaller corners than the others. And the sizes of the art are quite different as well...
