Hello there,
I just checked the XLHQ scans for alpha, beta and unlimited (from mediafire archive).
The quality is /very/ poor, to the point the standard hqpics offer superior quality when printed (you can see a grid pattern when zooming in too).
It is not a question of resolution, which in principle is more than enough, it is most likely the scanner quality and/or the acquisition settings and/or procedure.
I was wondering if these amazing original sets could be re-scanned properly or if there is another better archive sitting around.

They actually look like that, and the higher resolution shows the much coarser printing raster. If you look at a real A/B/U card you will see what I mean. The scans are excellent quality, really. Old cards were really crappy.

just alphas, but really, don't fret. They're better scanned than most fairly recent sets.

Thank you for this great and very useful work!
The M14 Tokens don't appear to be in the torrent: will they be included soon? that would be great.

Thanks!
I just got another question: what about sets like Commander and Commander's Arsenal: will they be included in some future (torrent) release, or should they be found somewhere else?

Believe me, it's being seeded, the problem is on your end. Make sure DHT and PEX are enabled, although they aren't needed.
