If that question was for me:woogerboy21 wrote:Wasn't there a concern at one point about the DB and space for the MWS app or was this issue fixed?
The MWS EasyInstall has a database that works perfectly with version 0.94f (option "original" at the time of installation) ... but also has a different version of MWS that deals well with large database (option "extended version") ...
If that is your option at installation time ... everything works perfectly ...

Not sure if this is a masterbase issue, because I recently updated mws to .97, but this problem didn't show up until I got BNG. I get a "Microsoft Windows" window that says "Magic Workstation Library has stopped working." Yada yada, same normal stuff. Here's the Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: MagicWorkstation.exe
Application Version: 0.9.7.2140
Application Timestamp: 52cbeb9e
Fault Module Name: StackHash_8720

Exception Code: c0000374
Exception Offset: 000af1c9

Additional Information 4: 3b204f2ff42130babf8f844f7b92442e
This has happened twice during similar conditions. This seems weird, but I do something I call playbuilding. I start out by making a deck of sixty Abhorrent Overlords, then test it solo against a copy of the last winner's deck, currently Ryo Nakada. MWS is in Deck Edit Mode, I have the Abhorrent Overlord deck up, and my library is filtered by type 2. Everything else is at the default. Then I proceed to play a game, Playing the Abhorrent Overlords as though they are the best card to play in this situation, according to the kind of deck I am building, and I put notes on the abhorrent overlords that are the card names of the cards I would want them to be. After I place the note on the card, I go back to the deck editor and put that card in the deck, taking out an Abhorrent Overlord. On the first game, about five minutes into it, I get this error message, and have to close MWS and start over again. It's quite frustrating. This is something I have been doing for years, and I have never had this problem until I downloaded the new masterbase. Any suggestions?

Update link is not working for me
Edit: it seems they moved the site but when I go I get this:
This PHP environment doesn't have SQLite support built in. SQLite support is required if you want to use a SQLite database to run this forum. Consult the PHP documentation for further assistance.

Before I download this, the first post seems to imply that it will only work with 0.97; is that the case? I'm still working with 0.94f because 0.97 is apparently in beta and I just don't want to deal with that. I've just been waiting for it to appear on mwsgames, but I noticed that M15 is already here and not there.

Try use MWS EasyInstall (link below)... use the option "Extended Version 0.97" (into installer)Siyanor wrote:Before I download this, the first post seems to imply that it will only work with 0.97; is that the case? Try doing exactly what was said ...Siyanor wrote:Try reading the comment that you quoted.
Only have the version "0.97" might not be enough ... MWS EasyInstall fixes a number of problems in your installation ...
Also you can use (in EasyInstall MWS) version 0.94f if you want ... but there are a number of limitations in the database ...
Just use the MWS EasyInstall solves your problem, no matter which version you want to use and choose at install time ...

No, it absolutely would not solve my problem, which you would know if you knew what my problem was. You clearly do not, which is why I asked you to read the comment that you quoted. I do NOT have 0.97, which you would know if you read that comment. There are absolutely ZERO problems with my installation, which you would know if you read that comment. The only problem is that YOU lack the ability to comprehend what my problem was. Moreover, my problem was LOOONG gone by the time you posted your most recent response -- another thing that you would (probably, though not necessarily) know had you actually read my comment.
tl;dr READ THINGS THAT YOU QUOTE. In fact, READ THINGS in general.
